WELCOME TO THE ORAL AND MAXILLOFACIAL SURGERY OFFICE OF DR. DALE STRINGER

Dr. Stringer has been practicing oral and maxillofacial surgery in Riverside for
over 40 years. He also is a professor in the Department of Oral and
Maxillofacial Surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center where he teaches
in the Oral and Maxillofacial residency program for the past 40 years.

He splits his practice into 50% office procedures (extractions, oral and facial
pathology) and 50% hospital procedures (orthognathic surgery, facial fractures,
tumor reconstruction and TMJ surgery). Most of Dr. Stringer’s staff have been
with him for over 20 years, providing knowledge and experience in obtaining
authorization for your surgical procedures and helping you understand your
surgery. Dr. Stringer’s office offers you full scope oral and maxillofacial
surgery and looks forward to providing for your needs.

Dr. Stringer is a hospital based surgeon, he is in the office Mondays and
Tuesdays and in the Operating Room Wednesday through Saturday (Kaiser Hospital
and Loma Linda University Medical Center).

Meet Our Doctor

Dr. Dale Stringer

After graduating dental school from the University of Iowa, Dr. Stringer entered
the United States Air Force and received his training in oral and maxillofacial
surgery. After ten years of active duty, he began his Riverside practice and
re-entered the reserves in 2000, retiring in 2009 with the rank of colonel.
While in the Air Force, he developed a special interest in orthognathic surgery
(repositioning jaws to correct skeletal/dental deformities of the face), and now
performs over 300 of these surgeries annually.

Jaw Surgery

Orthognathic surgery is needed when the top and bottom jaws don't meet correctly
and/or teeth don't adequately fit within the jaw. Teeth are straightened with
orthodontics, and corrective jaw surgery repositions a misaligned jaw. This not
only improves facial appearance, but also ensures that teeth meet correctly and
function properly.
