DESIGN 2147 IS PROUD TO BE PART OF THE BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN ARCHIVES TEAM

A new, 30,000-square-foot facility on the campus of Monmouth University in Long
Branch, NJ will house the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for American
Music (BSACAM). BSACAM will include exhibits on Springsteen, rare film footage,
a 230-seat theater, and many of Springsteen’s personal effects.

Currently located in an on-campus house, The Springsteen Archives are the
official repository for Bruce Springsteen’s songs and other written works, plus
photographs, periodicals, oral histories, recordings, films, and artifacts
related to Springsteen and the E Street Band. The Archives are committed to
preserving and promoting not only the legacy of Springsteen himself, but also
other American musicians like Woody Guthrie, Robert Johnson, Hank Williams, and
Frank Sinatra.

The two-story BSACAM building will be designed to museum standards and will
feature a boardwalk platform walkway to its entrance. It will also be Monmouth
University’s first LEED-certified project.

The $45 million project is expected to open by spring 2026.

Design 2147 is providing code consulting services. The project team includes New
York-based architecture firm COOKFOX, landscape architecture firm LaGuardia
Design Group, DeSimone Consulting Engineers, Dagher Engineering, One Lux Studio,
Longman Lindsey, Harvey Marshall Berling Associates, and Long Green Specs.
