Kimpton is the playful and sociable brand within IHG, and a couple of times per
year, it offers freebies to guests checking in. All guests need to do is learn a
few "secret" words.

Ahead of the summer vacation rush, a brand-new Kimpton secret password has
returned: "Good for the sol."

Saying those magic words from May 24 through Sept. 2 can unlock all kinds of
goodies, such as a complimentary round of botanical cocktails, a complimentary
in-room movie or a room upgrade. TPG readers have had some pretty great success
with prior Kimpton secret passwords.

My family has used the secret password several times. When we used it at the
Kimpton Hotel Monaco Denver, each kiddo got to spin the prize wheel; we won a
free in-room movie and snacks.

Anyone can use the secret password. Remember that IHG One Rewards Platinum and
Diamond elite members can also use the Raid the Bar benefit. With it, Platinum
Elite members receive a $10 credit, and Diamond Elite members receive a $20
credit for the Kimpton in-room minibar, hotel bar or restaurant.

Complementing the "good for the sol" password theme is the launch of IHG Hotels
& Resorts Summer Soiree. The soiree is a new seasonal experiential series
occurring across its luxury and lifestyle portfolio in the Americas from June 1
to Sept. 2. During the series, hotels within the InterContinental Hotels &
Resorts, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, Vignette Collection and Hotel Indigo
brands will treat guests to a variety of multisensory offerings and programming
inspired by warm summer days and nights.

Kimpton, in particular, will bring back its intimate concert series, Kimpton Off
the Record, sponsored by Coca-Cola. It will kick things off at the Kimpton Epic
Hotel in Miami on June 12 with an Off the Record event featuring musical duo
Drama and benefiting Kimpton's nonprofit partner, National Urban League.
Additional Off the Record events will be hosted at select Kimpton hotels later
this year.
