 * Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad presented Heart Saver Award /
   Lifetime Achievement Award to well known Indian origin cardiologist Dr.
   Brijesh Bhambi in Bakersfield. The Mayor Karen Goh, District Attorney, Judge,
   Sheriff Mr.Youngblood and several senior officials of Bakersfield were
   present on the occasion. As the “Save a Heart Foundation” (SAHF) is active in
   Israel, the Consul General of Israel in LA congratulated Dr. Bhambi. Consul
   General in his address appreciated the contributions of Indian community both
   professionally and socially to the local communities and economy. December
   20, 2022

 * A team of @Invest UP led by Hon’ble Speaker of Legislative Assembly Shri
   Satish Mahana and Hon’ble Minister of Animal Husbandry Shri Dharmpal Singh,
   Hon’ble Chief Secretary Shri Durga Shankar Mishra and senior officers from
   the UP Government were in Los Angeles for a Road Show. The delegation visited
   the facilities, Film studios & certain industries in Los Angeles and San
   Diego. Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad in association with M/s LPH
   Apparel Inc (Mr. Gaurav Bhargava), hosted an interactive session with
   entrepreneurs and Venture Capitalists of Indian origin. Hon’ble Speaker in
   his address appreciated the contributions of Indian diaspora across the world
   and that India feels proud about the same. Hon’ble Chief Secretary Mr. Durga
   Shankar Mishra detailed the policies and advantages of UP for investments and
   also the progress achieved during the last few years under the leadership of
   Hon’ble Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The meeting ended with signing of few
   Memoranda of December 20, 2022

 * The Uttar Pradesh Mandal of America (UPMA) has awarded a grand welcome to the
   delegation @Invest UP led by Hon’ble Finance Minister Shri Suresh Kumar
   Khanna. Ms. Nilu Gupta, the Founder of UPMA in her address mentioned UP as
   Uttam Pradesh and extended a hearty welcome to the high level delegation from
   her birth place, UP. Likewise, Mr. Ritesh Tandon, the Board Member of UPMA in
   his address mentioned about the philanthropic work being undertaken by the
   UPMA Members particularly in educating rural children. Some members of UPMA
   expressed interest in investing in education, healthcare and IT in UP. The
   address by Hon’ble Finance Minister Mr. Suresh Kumar Khanna; Mr. Awanish
   Kumar Awasthi, Senior Advisor to Hon’ble Chief Minister of UP; Mr. Arvind
   Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary; Mr. Amit Singh, Secretary to Hon’ble Chief
   Minister of UP were appreciated. Consul General Dr.T.V Nagendra Prasad
   appreciated the enthusiasm and attachment of UPMA with state of Uttar

 * The InvestUP delegation visited Sanmina Corporation in Silicon Valley for a
   presentation by Mr. Sundar Kamath and Mr. Patel. The UP delegation in their
   presentation conveyed the policies favoring electronics manufacturing sector
   in UP and invited them to expand their manufacturing facility in India to UP.
   The delegation extended invitation to Sanmina Corporation to participate at
   the UP Global Investors Summit 2023. December 20, 2022

 * The delegation of @InvestUP led by Hon’ble Finance Minister of UP Mr. Suresh
   Kumar Khanna visited the Bloom Energy in Silicon Valley. The Chairman Mr.
   K.R. Sridhar detailed the technology and also its significance for data
   centers, hospitals, semi-conductor industry as it can provide uninterrupted
   power supply which is cleaner. He also said that he currently sources about
   20% of equipment for his factories in USA from India. December 19, 2022

 * At FalconX Accelerator in Milpitas, an interaction was held with focus on IT
   and Startup sector which was attended by over 20 young entrepreneurs which
   included few from the State of Uttar Pradesh. Some companies including
   FalconX, Forsys signed certain MoUs with the visiting delegation from UP to
   begin their services. The delegation was exposed to the incubator/accelerator
   atmosphere and was informed about the potential to cooperate with UP Startup
   eco system. The delegation included Mr. Sidharth Nath Singh, Hon’ble Member
   of Legislative Assembly; Mr. Awanish Kumar Awasthi, Senior Advisor to Hon’ble
   Chief Minister of UP; Mr. Arvind Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary; Mr. Amit
   Kumar, Secretary to Hon’ble Chief Minister of UP and Consul General of India
   Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad. December 19, 2022

 * The delegation led by Hon’ble Finance Minister Mr. Suresh Khanna from the
   State of Uttar Pradesh in connection with @InvestUP held a breakfast meeting
   @BayAreaCouncil in San Francisco on 15 December 2022. The invitees included
   leaders in Pharma and Bio-tech industry and some Indian origin entrepreneurs
   including Ms. Priya and Dr. Nandini Tandon. There was also an interaction
   with Ms. Rosch virtually with the group on board Klamath, the office of Bay
   Area Council. Mr. Sean Randolph, Senior Director, Bay Area Council Economic
   Institute detailed about his forthcoming India report and was positive on
   India’s growth story. Mr. Sidharth Nath Singh, Hon’ble Member of Legislative
   Assembly; Mr. Awanish Kumar Awasthi, Senior Advisor to Hon’ble Chief Minister
   of UP; Mr. Arvind Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary; Mr. Amit Singh,
   Secretary to Hon’ble Chief Minister of UP and Consul General of India Dr.
   T.V. Nagendra Prasad were present in the meetings. December 19, 2022

 * A Road Show to showcase opportunities for investments into UP was held at
   Sheraton Palo Alto on December 15, 2022. After the inaugural remarks by
   Consul General Dr. T.V. Nagendra Prasad, a detailed presentation was made by
   Shri Arvind Kumar about the important sectors and various policies framed to
   attract investments into UP. Consul General said that ‘UP’ stands for
   ‘Unlimited Potential’ and it is right time to Invest in Uttar Pradesh. It was
   followed by Q & A session. Hon’ble Finance Minister Mr. Suresh Khanna spoke
   on the occasion and extended invitation to attend Global Investor Summit to
   be held in Lucknow from February 10-12, 2023. During the Road Show, Hon’ble
   Member of Legislative Assembly Mr. Sidharth Nath Singh; Mr. Awanish Kumar
   Awasthi, Senior Advisor to Hon’ble Chief Minister of UP; Mr. Amit Singh,

Indian nationals seeking emergency assistance may reach us at  +1.415.483.6629

nationals seeking immediate emergency assistance and not for routine consular
queries.

Emergency Visa Assistance:

For any emergency Visa services, contact cell numbers +1-415.939.2286. This
number will be available during weekends and other Consulate holidays. These
emergency visa services are generally available for persons of Indian origin in
the case of a serious situation like death or serious sickness of an immediate
family member. The Consulate will make every effort to accommodate emergency
visa requests, provided correct and adequate documentation is submitted by the
applicant. Please note that routine queries/requests for information will not be
entertained on this number.

APPOINTMENT FOR WALK-IN SERVICES

The Consulate General of India in San Francisco is pleased to announce that we
are open from 10 October 2022 for in-person submission with prior appointment
for the following services ONLY:
(i) All Attestation Services/Power of Attorney documents/NRI Certificate
(ii) Life certificates

2. Walk in applicants would need to obtain prior appointment for submission of
applications at the web link www.cgisf.gov.in/apt/appointment.php Timing for
submission of applications would be as indicated by the appointment system on
all business days. Please note other Miscellaneous Services will be handled at
the Consulate through regular post only.

3. Applicants are advised to note that for
Passport/Visa/OCI/Renunciation/GEP/PCC services will be through our Service
Provider M/S VFS Global (https://visa.vfsglobal.com/usa/en/ind/)

4. Please note that entry to the Consulate for the above services would be with
prior appointment only.
