Maintenance Activities & Schedule for Turbines?

I'm investing in a home turbine and battery backup, and I'm super excited about
building energy independence! But I want to make sure I'm planning for the
maintenance I'll have to do, and I've been reading through the documentation and
only found a short paragraph around maintenance.

Can anyone point me to materials I might use to plan my maintenance schedule?

Tips and Tricks?

Hi! I'm a new member of this community, and I am quite excited to get
started. Can you tell me what's the best place to find tips and tricks from
other customers? It would be a real help to learn from others' experiences.

What's the best base material for a Solar Panel?

I'm planning out my home system, and I will likely mount my panels on the
ground. That leaves me wondering whether I should pour a concrete pad, pour
reinforced piers, use stake mounts, or take some other approach. What have folks
used before?

This is something that's often overlooked, so I'm glad you're thinking ahead! A
few thoughts from my experiences:

 * CODE COMPLIANCE: ALWAYS consult your local building codes. Different counties
   have different requirements.
 * CONCRETE PADS: These are generally unnecessary for a ground solar
installation, as they are good at supporting a ton of weight...like in a
   driveway application.
 * CONCRETE PIERS: The most permanent solution, and the most labor-intensive.
But they can get you some elevation, and will generally stand up to wind very
well and provide for great water drainage. Be sure to build piers deep enough
to avoid frost heave in areas prone to freezing.
 * STAKE MOUNTS: Expensive accessories to buy for each mounting rack, but much
easier to install and likely less costly overall.
 * GROUND REST: The default for most homeowners. The mounting brackets in the
stores are all designed to ground rest, but you may want to consider water
   runoff in your installation area.

Agreed with ehale above...what I found also worked was to ensure that the
room itself is brightly lit so that folks in the room can be seen!

Cannot Get LTE Connectivity Speeds

My wind turbine system is a little remote, so I opted for the LTE-based remote
monitoring option instead of relying on wifi. But lately my account is showing
only 3G level connectivity most of the time, which has me concerned about the
quality of data I'm getting from the installation. I'm wondering:

 1. Has anyone else encountered this?
 2. Any ideas for remedying the issue?

I'd hate to resort to a wired connection, since that would be pricy.

Guys, I'm not sure the firmware issue is related to your speeds. There are a
whole host of other things that can affect speed. But yeah, I wish Cirrus
   would update the firmware too!
