BUMP WATCH: ALL THE BLACK CELEBRITY WOMEN PREGNANT IN 2023

From Ciara to Bresha Webb and more, see who is expecting their first child or
adding to their brood this year.

It’s 2023, and with that comes new beginnings — literally. A number of
well-known women have been sharing the news, left and right, that they’re
expecting. Some people have welcomed their first child, like Keke Palmer, and
others added to their brood, like Naturi Naughton.

The latest mamas to add to the list include actress Bresha Webb. She broke the
news with a series of cute baking because-we’ve-got-a-bun-in-the-oven photos
with her husband, Nick Jones Jr. The funny femme also partnered with Clearblue
to share the good news and to raise awareness of their resources for moms,
moms-to-be and women looking to have a child through their work with the March
of Dimes.

There’s also Amani and Woody of Married at First Sight fame. Remember them? The
couple tied the knot during Season 11 in New Orleans. They recently welcomed
their second child, a baby boy named Rai Zahir Randall to join big brother
Reign.

Lastly, if you missed this last bit of news, you’re not alone! Director and
producer Melina Matsoukas of Insecure and Queen & Slim fame announced at the end
of October that she’s welcoming her first child and showed off her bump at the
Renaissance: A Film By Beyoncé world premiere in Beverly Hills on November 25.

The beauty, from Season 11 of Married at First Sight, had one of the show’s
success stories, finding love with Woody Randall. They tied the knot in 2020 and
within three years, have welcomed two children, most recently, son Rai born
November 7. “We are super excited to have completed our family!” they shared in
a statement. “We’ve been resting and enjoying our new family of 4 dynamic. Reign
is totally obsessed with his baby brother!”

The talented director is preparing for her greatest project: motherhood!
Matsoukas shared that she’s welcoming her first child with partner William Hazel
in a shoot for HommeGirls.

The former Run the World star and newlywed is expecting her first child with
husband and screenwriter Nick Jones Jr. He has a daughter from a previous
relationship so Webb is already getting in her experience to prepare her for
what’s to come.

The Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard stars, Jasmine and Silas, are expecting
their first child. They broke the news with ESSENCE right before BravoCon.
Silas, who is in the Army, is set to miss the birth of baby Cooper because he’s
stationed abroad, but Jasmine told us she’s making sure he doesn’t feel like
he’s missed out on anything. “Right now, I’m nervous about Silas coming home
feeling out of place or that he missed everything,” she said. “I text him
sonograms and heartbeat recordings from my ultrasounds or nursery designs, so he
feels like he’s here every step of the way.”

The funny femme will be welcoming her first child with boyfriend Cam Newton,
expecting his eighth. He has five children with ex-girlfriend Kia Proctor
(including her oldest daughter from a previous relationship) and two with ex La
Reina Shaw (including her oldest son from a previous relationship). He’s
previously said that he and Brown’s relationship works well because their
communication is great. “I like talking. We’re in tune,” he said in the summer
on his podcast. “I’m so in tune that there’s nothing we can’t talk about. I
think that’s what’s most important.” Congrats to the couple!

Already a mother to a young son, Sexyy Red announced in October that she’s
expecting her second child. She shared that she’d been trying to suck in her
stomach at events and in photos but couldn’t hide it anymore and “got tired of
fakin.’”

The funny beauty broke the great news that she’s having a baby with boyfriend of
nearly two years, Tyler P., to ESSENCE. She told us that she’s feeling
butterflies (in baby kicks and in spirit). “I feel amazing. I’m so excited,” she

and husband, Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson, are welcoming their
third child together and their fourth overall. Ciara brought son Future with her

Sienna, Win, and now, baby Wilson. Russell was the one who videotaped Ciara’s
announcement clip, which included her new single “How We Roll” playing as she

husband Robert Sweeting, Aduba hit the red carpet for the Tony Awards holding on
to her growing baby bump. The couple wed in 2020 and now look forward to their
“blessing.”

The gospel star and husband Jordan Kelly spilled the good news to PEOPLE that
they’re expecting their first child together after being open about her
experience having multiple miscarriages. We recently spoke to Sheard-Kelly about

fruition. “The Lord told me that I’ll have children so I really trust the Lord
and I trust His word,” she told ESSENCE at the time. “So that’s how I’m letting

The NBC News Washington correspondent’s greatest work is on the way though, as
she announced that she’s expecting her first child with her husband, fellow
journalist Nathanial Cline. She wrote a poignant piece announcing the news while
sharing her own winding journey to this moment during National Infertility
Awareness Week. She didn’t want to simply share a bump photo without letting

cycles while having to be front and center on national TV reporting political
