NACADA recognizes Kristal Soderstrom-Junkens

June 15, 2023

NACADA awarded ECE academic adviser Kristal Soderstrom-Junkens with the
Certificate of Merit of the Outstanding Advising Award - Primary Advising Role.
This highly competitive award recognizes Kristal’s commitment to quality
academic advice that she gives on a daily basis to ECE students. NACADA is a
global community of 14,000 plus professionals whose job function includes
academic advising in higher education.

Professor John O'Hara receives prestigious NSF CAREER Award

May 24, 2023

NSF recently awarded a $500k grant to ECE assistant professor, John O’Hara, for
his proposed project “CAREER: Taming the Terahertz for 6G Wireless Backhaul,”
which will be conducted over a five-year period.

ECE Senior Design Team takes first place

May 4, 2023

ECE students Joshua Skillings, Jade Gullic, and Brendan Schwickerath received
the First Place Award in the ECE category of the CEAT Senior Design Expo.

CEAT Regents Professor Singh wins medal for innovation and commercialization Jun

Oklahoma State University professor Raj Singh has been selected to receive the
American Ceramic Society’s 2023 Rishi Raj Medal for Innovation and
Commercialization in Ceramics.

Civil engineering program receives ASCE award for promotion of ethics and
professionalism Jun 13

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Oklahoma State University
received the 2023 Walter LeFevre Award for excellence in promoting
professionalism, ethics, and licensure in its civil engineering education
curriculum. The award was presented at the 2023 National Civil Engineering
Department Heads Conference on June 13 at Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa.
