KANNAI AGRO TOURISM

Gharpi village is located at 1580 feet from the sea level. It inherits a rich
fertile soil on the account of being a part of the Western Ghats. This is a pure
agro-tourism centre that offers a multilayered joy to
the visitors. The place receives an average annual rainfall of 6000 millimetres.
The temperature drops to



20° C during monsoon (June – October). In summer, the days are warm (30° – 35°)
but it gets cooler (25° – 30°) at nights. In winter, the temperature is between
20° C and 25° C during the day.
There are some nearby attractions that include the lovely Asaniye waterfalls and
the historic Fort Hanumant which is an hour’s trek from the tourism centre. 

THIS IS AN ALCOHOL FREE ZONE – NOT JUST THE TOURISM CENTRE BUT THE WHOLE VILLAGE
HAS BEEN KNOWN TO HAVE TRADITIONALLY ABSTAINED FROM THE USAGE OF ALCOHOL. THE
PLACE HAS A HIGHER LEVEL OF OXYGEN CONTENT IN THE AIR. THE BREEZE HAS A
CLEANSING AND RELAXING EFFECT ON MIND AND BODY. THE LANDSCAPES ARE MESMERISING.
THE TOURISM CENTRE IS HOME TO A HUGE VARIETY OF PLANTS, TREES, BIRDS AND
ANIMALS, SOME OF WHICH ARE VERY RARE. EVERYTHING GROWS HERE ORGANICALLY.

BUILT BY TRADITIONAL METHODS USING MATERIALS SUCH AS LATERITE STONES, TERRACOTTA

TALL AND FIRM IN THE MIDST OF A LANDSCAPE OF UNMATCHABLE BEAUTY.
