We are reworking the wiki! Please note that many pages on this wiki come from a
time when resourcing was not required. As such, when reading the content of this
wiki, please ensure the information you are reading is cited using external
resources before taking it to heart! Due to the wiki's large size, we have
created an alternative wiki. The end result of this new wiki will be everything
already on WikiTide but better resourced and more organized.


WELCOME TO THE LGBTQIA+ WIKI!

The LGBTQIA+ Wiki is a resource of LGBTQIA+ terminology and labels used by
various queer communities, as well as the questioning and/or curious. The wiki
is designed to be a helpful resource for explaining identities that are often
unknown, unheard of, or difficult to find information for.

LGBTA stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and
asexual/aromantic/agender. It's an adaptation of the initialism LGBT, which
originated in the 1990s. It may be used to refer to anyone who
is non-heterosexual, non-heteroromantic, non-cisgender, non-allosexual, and/or
non-alloromantic. Some popular variants include LGBTQ, LGBTIA, LGBTQA, or
LGBTIAQ. The Q stands for questioning/queer, and the I stands for intersex.
Other variations include LGBT+ or LGBTA+, which is used to encompass the full
spectrums of sexuality and gender.

page. Before you make a new article, it's recommended that you read the Creating
and Editing guide. Please note that all changes, new pages, and new files must
be approved by a moderator before they appear to the public. The moderation
queue is checked at least twice a day. Whilst anyone can make changes or new
pages, your edits may not be accepted. Main reasons are below:

 * Improper formatting or grammar
 * No resources backing up the provided information

If your edit was rejected and does not match the above, feel free to ask a
moderator.

If you want to help out but don't know where to start...

 * Articles in this category need their resources to be archived according to
   the archival template.
 * Articles in this category do not have resources. If you find some, you are
   encouraged to add them!
 * There's a large ongoing housekeeping project to review ALL wiki pages, more
