AMAZON CONNECT ENDPOINT TEST UTILITY

The Amazon Connect Endpoint Test Utility is a planning tool that tests media
accessibility, latency, and browser capabilities to identify possible issues
when using the Amazon Connect Contact Control Panel (CCP). It is designed to
help you identify the optimal region for your Amazon Connect deployment and to
determine if there are any obvious network connectivity/firewall blockers in
your environment that could impact the agent's connectivity. While it can help
with post-deployment troubleshooting, it is not completing connections in the
exact same matter as the Amazon Connect Contact Control Panel (CCP), and the
logs produced by CCP would be more effective for troubleshooting scenarios.
Please refer to the Amazon Connect Administrator Guide  for more details and
options

Amazon Connect Instance Url - optional
The Amazon Connect access url which can be obtained in the Amazon Connect admin
console. If you have not yet created an instance of Amazon Connect, you can
leave this field blank. NOTE: If you wish to accurately measure latency to
CloudFront, please use Chrome or Edge instead of Firefox. Firefox does not
support the nocache header and will always return a time to the local (cached)
version of the test file.

Amazon Connect region(s) - optional
The Amazon Connect regions to test for latency and media connectivity.

TESTS

GEOLOCATION TEST

The Geolocation test gathers several pieces of data to assist when using the
tool in a support context.

 * Latitude
 * Longitude
 * Language

CLIENT CONFIG TEST

The Client Config test gathers several pieces of data to verify that the current
browser supports functionality and features required for Salesforce Service
Cloud Voice.

 * Online
 * OS Name
 * OS Version
 * Browser
 * Device
 * Private
 * WebRTC
 * Mic
 * Mic Access
 * Cam
 * Cam Access
 * Speakers

LATENCY TEST

The Latency test measures latency to the Amazon Connect instance (if provided)
and Amazon Connect region(s) (if selected). Latency tests are executed ten (10)
times for the Amazon Connect instance provided and region(s) selected. The
minimum, maximum, and average values of these results is calculated.

There are four (4) latency thresholds defined:

 * SUCCESS - AT OR BELOW 200 MS

   Detected average latency is within the standard operating range for Amazon
   Connect.

 * CAUTION - BETWEEN 201 MS AND 275 MS

   Detected average latency is above the standard operating range for Amazon
   Connect. Some degradation in quality may occur.

 * WARNING - BETWEEN 276 MS AND 500 MS

   Detected average latency is well above the standard operating range for
   Amazon Connect. Degradation in quality is very likely.

 * FAILURE - AT OR ABOVE 501 MS

   The connection failed or took more than 500 ms on average.

MEDIA TEST

The Media test validates connectivity to publicly available Amazon Connect
regional endpoint(s) (if selected).

To ensure success of media tests, ensure to follow the guidance provided here:
Set up your network .
