Russell Wolf tells Brownfield “anhydrous is going down, some dirt work is going on, but I haven’t heard of anyone planting anything yet.” Wolf says corn on his farm is typically planted in early April and the soybeans follow. “We try to stick with a 50/50 rotation of corn and soybeans.” He also says minimizing tillage is one way to keep moisture in the ground and no-till will be his strategy heading into another dry spring. Brownfield interviewed Wolf at the Missouri Soybean Cover Crop Field Day. 0 comments Tags: fieldwork, Missouri, Planting, Russell Wolf ADD COMMENT CANCEL REPLY Your email address will not be published. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Δ RELATED HEADLINES Josh Teulker’s traditional archery shooting tips Mar 29, 2024 | Rice seed shortage could cause more soybean acres in MO Bootheel Mar 28, 2024 | Fewer corn acres can help with some profitability Mar 28, 2024 | MO Farm Bureau health plan bill passes House Mar 28, 2024 | Graves optimistic the House can pass a farm bill Mar 28, 2024 | FUTURE PRICES * CROPS * LIVESTOCK * FINANCE * ENERGY * METALS Name Contract Last Change CornZCK24 (May '24)442-0s+15-2CornZCN24 (Jul '24)454-4s+15-2CornZCU24 (Sep '24)464-4s+16-0SoybeanZSK24 (May '24)1191-4s-1-0SoybeanZSN24 (Jul '24)1205-2s-1-2SoybeanZSQ24 (Aug '24)1203-6s-1-2WheatZWK24 (May '24)560-2s+12-6WheatZWN24 (Jul '24)575-6s+13-0WheatZWU24 (Sep '24)591-4s+11-0CME Cotton #2KGK24 (May '24)0.9138s+0.0061CME Cotton #2KGN24 (Jul '24)0.9197s+0.0053CME Cotton #2KGV24 (Oct '24)0.8728s+0.0085Rough RiceZRK24 (May '24)16.360s-0.225Rough RiceZRN24 (Jul '24)16.690s-0.195Rough RiceZRU24 (Sep '24)14.545s+0.010 Name Contract Last Change Live CattleLEJ24 (Apr '24)185.000s+1.400Live CattleLEM24 (Jun '24)180.250s+1.575Live CattleLEQ24 (Aug '24)178.200s+1.525Feeder CattleGFJ24 (Apr '24)247.125s+0.250Feeder CattleGFK24 (May '24)248.700s+0.425Feeder CattleGFQ24 (Aug '24)258.825s+0.925Lean HogsHEJ24 (Apr '24)86.625s+0.525Lean HogsHEK24 (May '24)92.500s+0.100Lean HogsHEM24 (Jun '24)101.450s-0.150Class III MilkDLH24 (Mar '24)16.34s-0.07Class III MilkDLJ24 (Apr '24)15.56s-0.08Class III MilkDLK24 (May '24)15.96s-0.09 Name Contract Last Change Euro FXE6J24 (Apr '24)1.07930s-0.00355Euro FXE6K24 (May '24)1.08055s-0.00355Euro FXE6M24 (Jun '24)1.08215s-0.00355Japanese YenJ6J24 (Apr '24)0.0066210s-0.0000045Japanese YenJ6K24 (May '24)0.0066495s-0.0000045Japanese YenJ6M24 (Jun '24)0.0066855s-0.00000455-Year T-NoteZFM24 (Jun '24)107-005s-0-0375-Year T-NoteZFU24 (Sep '24)107-155s-0-0375-Year T-NoteZFZ24 (Dec '24)107-305sunch Name Contract Last Change Crude Oil WTICLK24 (May '24)83.17s+1.82Crude Oil WTICLM24 (Jun '24)82.42s+1.64Crude Oil WTICLN24 (Jul '24)81.67s+1.48Natural GasNGK24 (May '24)1.763s+0.045Natural GasNGM24 (Jun '24)1.997s+0.044Natural GasNGN24 (Jul '24)2.340s+0.047Gasoline RBOBRBK24 (May '24)2.7206s+0.0487Gasoline RBOBRBM24 (Jun '24)2.6885s+0.0452Gasoline RBOBRBN24 (Jul '24)2.6459s+0.0430Ethanol FuturesZKJ24 (Apr '24)2.161sunchEthanol FuturesZKK24 (May '24)2.161sunchEthanol FuturesZKM24 (Jun '24)2.161sunch Name Contract Last Change GoldGCJ24 (Apr '24)2,217.4s+26.8GoldGCK24 (May '24)2,227.1s+25.7GoldGCM24 (Jun '24)2,238.4s+25.7SilverSIJ24 (Apr '24)24.797s+0.172SilverSIK24 (May '24)24.916s+0.164SilverSIM24 (Jun '24)25.042s+0.163 STAY UP TO DATE Subscribe for our newsletter today and receive relevant news straight to your inbox!
