WELCOME

It is a tremendous honour and privilege for me to lead this amazing school that
God has given to us as a blessing for our area and community. We are focused on
building friendships together for a Spirit-filled life where each one of us is a
shining light in the world.

I personally dream that every child that is part of the Redwood family will
forever be changed to follow our heavenly Father’s ways and that our testimony
will be like a lighthouse for all to see. Our school has been blessed in so many
ways by our Father in heaven, that it is sometimes difficult to comprehend. I am
forever grateful for what we have received and for being part of the Redwood
family.

Our school is about making memories and changing lives. We have 13 years, from
Grade R to Grade 12, to offer our pupils the best possible education, but more
than that – we have 13 years to generate memories of funned engaged learning,
and that school is a good place to be. We are a relationship-based school and
every child is UNIQUE. I am excited to embark on this journey together, and my
prayer for our school is that we will ‘Stand Tall’ and “Be a light for all to
see” – Matthew 5:16.

OUR HISTORY

Redwood College Potchefstroom is a Christian based private school based in the
academic city of Potchefstroom.

The school was founded in 1993 with 23 learners and was first known as the Agape
Christian School. In 2019 the school became part of the Redwood College family
and the name subsequently changed to Redwood College Potchefstroom. In 2020, the
school was blessed with a property on the outskirts of Potchefstroom and for the
first time the school had a place they could call their own.

Redwood College Potchefstroom relocated to new premises in January 2020 from
where we are currently operating. Our school continues to grow as we have
transitioned into the Redwood family. The individualised system of instruction
offered at the school allows for learners to work independently, within a
nurturing, disciplined and structured environment.





REDWOOD

The Redwood name is taken from the mighty Redwood Forests that stand tall and
weather the test of time. However, the brand borrows more from the Redwood
Forests than just a name.

The living mechanism and ecosystem of the Redwood forests provides living
insights and principles that are adopted into the Redwood brand.

The unique root system whereby the surprisingly shallow roots of individual
trees extend radially and intertwine with each other creates a sophisticated
anchor that facilitates the entire forest’s growth, even in harsh environmental
conditions.

The bark of a Redwood Tree is thick, fibrous and spongy. It retains moisture
which protects the tree from external threats such as fire and insect
infestation.

A Redwood forest is a vibrant ecosystem providing home, shelter and protection
to a plethora of plant and animal life. The forests are a key component of a
greater system whereby they serve to clean the atmosphere through the capture of
carbon dioxide and the release of oxygen.
