TARGET AUDIENCE AND GOAL STATEMENT



This activity is intended for primary care physicians, physician assistants,
nurse practitioners, and pharmacists.





The goal of this activity is for learners to be better able to implement timely
treatment strategies for patients at high risk of severe COVID-19.





Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

 * Recognize the importance of timely diagnosis and treatment in patients at
   higher risk of severe disease
 * Identify patient characteristics contributing to an increased risk of
   progressing to severe COVID-19
 * Select timely and appropriate treatment interventions in adults with
   increased risk factors for severe disease
