Log In * * * WELCOME TO MOHAMMED USROF'S PERSONAL SITE. I AM A CLIMATE ACTIVIST FROM GAZA, PALESTINE. MY PASSION LIES IN FIGHTING FOR CLIMATE JUSTICE AND ADAPTATION. JOIN ME IN MY JOURNEY TO MAKE A CHANGE FOR THE BETTER. ABOUT ME Mohammed Usrof is a Palestinian climate activist and researcher. He is an International Youth Climate Delegate for COP28 and the IYCDP with the UAE Presidency and has attended the General Assembly 78th session in 2023. His work aims to address the divide between the West and East; the Global North and Global South, and issues of political economies in the Middle East. His research interests revolve around decoloniality, democratization, gender, and economic development, and climate justice and adaptation. He is an advocate for peace and justice while being a student and a Research Assistant at Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service.Mohammed is simultaneously preparing for an MSc in Sustainable Development with University College Dublin (UCD) focusing on circular economies, the de-development of the Gaza Strip and its political economy with insights from the UN SDGs and international organizations. I BELIEVE THAT CLIMATE JUSTICE IS AN INTERSECTIONAL ISSUE THAT REQUIRES US TO ADDRESS SOCIAL, ECONOMIC, AND POLITICAL INEQUALITIES.
