HON ODONGO MEETS WITH NORWEGIAN STATE SECRETARY FOR INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT

Today Morning, Hon. Gen. Odongo Jeje Abubakhar received and held discussions
with Ms. Bjorg Sandkjaer, Kingdom of Norway's State Secretary for International
Development at the Ministry Headquarters.

PHASE OUT OF MACHINE READABLE PASSPORT

All holders of Machine Readable Passports (MRPS) should note that the
Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control has been phasing out the MRPs
since December 2018.


GOVERNMENT OF UGANDA ANNOUNCES VANILLA HARVESTING DATES FOR 1ST SEASON OF 2021

Government through the Minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries,
Frank K. Tumwebaze (pictured) has declared the 1st of July 2021 to be the
harvest date for the first season of this year.


UGANDA TO FETCH COFFEE PREMIUM PRICES GLOBALLY

The Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA), is doing everything possible to
ensure that Uganda's coffee attracts a premium price globally. It should be
noted Uganda is the birth place of Robusta Coffee where it accounts for 80% of
Uganda's coffee output.


UGANDA'S AGRICULTURE SECTOR REMAINS STRONG DESPITE THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The agriculture sector's value to the economy has remained largely unchanged and
in some areas, increased during the one year of the Covid 19 pandemic.


UGANDA DAIRY EXPORTS GROW BY 63 PERCENT IN THREE YEARS AS VALUE OF COUNTRY'S
MILK HITS SHS3.1 TRILLION

Uganda's revenue from export of dairy products has risen from $131.5m (Shs
480bn) in 2018 to $205m (750bn) in 2020 according to records from the Dairy
Development Authority (DDA).
