Education Media & Publishing Group Ltd., the holding company that owns Houghton
Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Co., said it has restructured about $4 billion of
the publisher's $7 billion debt load by converting it to equity, mostly wiping
out Education Media's original equity investors.
