DHIKHANG INTITUTION

The Dhikhang Intitution monastic community is planning to build a new monastic
school at Pharping, the most famous sacred place of Pharping.
This land was purchased many years ago, but it is only now that we can implement
the above plan.
The main aim of this new project is to provide a suitable monastic educational
environment for all newcomers and young children, further to become a great
resource for protecting, promoting and develop Buddhism.

The ultimate purpose of the monastic endeavour is to attain a state of freedom
from bondage, where both bondage and freedom are defined in theological terms.
The languages of most cultures with monastic traditions possess special terms to
denote bondage and freedom.
A few languages adapt terms of common parlance that are then understood by
members of society to refer to theologically adumbrated types of bondage and
freedom.







ABOUT ABBOT MONASTERY

Khentul Konchok Tenzin Rinpoche was born in 1985. From early childhood, he was
tender at heart and opposed killing animals as well as other hurting activities.
In 1995, His Holiness Trulshik Rinpoche recognised him as the reincarnation of
Tulku Konchok Khenrab Rinpoche and named him Ngawang Jigdal Choki Gyatso. This
was soon confirmed by His Holiness 14th Dalai Lama in his letter of recognition.
On November 5th the same year, he was formally welcomed by many senior lamas in
Khotsa monastery, and clad in a monk’s robe by Lama Tharpa Lhagon Rinpoche. As
an auspicious beginning, H.E Khenpo Pema Khenrab gave commentary teachings of
Kunsang Lami Shalung (Words of My Perfect Teacher) for 19 days during the
ceremony of Rinpoche’s enthronement.
He began his formal basic Tibetan writing and reading classes and has been very
progressive since then.

He also received many precious initiations including Rinchen Terzod (the great
treasury collection of Terma) from Khenpo Khenrab and Se Tul Rinpoche in Tibet.






PROGRAMS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH

Children and Youth are welcomed at the Dhikhang Intitution Monastery of Tibetan
Buddhism. They are an integral part of the spiritual community and are greatly
cherished. The programs for children at Dhikhang Intitution Monastery are
created to help support families. They fill an important need that has been
expressed by children, parents, and the larger community.

Teen Program Vision: the Teen group at Sakya Monastery learn how to “Be Happy,
Make Happy.” accomplishes this by studying the teachings of the Buddha and the
special prayers and practices of Tibetan Buddhism and weaving them together with
the latest sources of information on living a happy life. Teens create the tools
to become resilient, empowered, compassionate individuals and to “Be Happy, Make
Happy” while meeting the challenges of today’s changing world.

I am a firm believer that every one of us is born with a purpose, with a reason
that explains our existence in this world. I also believe that the purpose of
our life is hidden somewhere deep inside us, we just don’t see it! All we have
to do is learn to listen to ourselves, learn to identify our true needs and
desires and learn to connect to what really matters. But how do you do that?
