BEACH The Hunstanton beach is split into two areas; the part closest to the main resort which includes arcades, the Princess Theatre, shops and a number of take away & restaurants is made up of shingle and boulders leading into the sea. Further north along the beach you come to Old Hunstanton which has a large area of beautiful golden sand which you can only full appreciate when the tide is all the way out. In addition there is an old ship wreckage that is worth viewing along with amazing pink cliffs and white striped cliffs which is formed from a mixture of white chalk and Norfolk carstone. The cliffs are best viewed when the tide is out. SUNSETS Hunstanton is the only resort in East Anglia that faces west which offers visitors and locals the most spectacular sun sets. We recommend visiting Le Strange Arms Hotel to enjoy the best possible view. HUNSTANTON In addition to the beach, Hunstanton has a lot to offer as a resort including a number of popular restaurants selling a variety of food from traditional fish and chips to sit down pub meals. In addition you have the Sea Life Sanctuary and crazy pirate golf. The Victorian resort of Hunstanton in Norfolk was built in 1846 and has a unique charm that remains popular today. In addition to restaurants there is a theatre, a number of arcades and ten pin bowling. The town has also been the winner of the prestigious RHS Britain in bloom competition. KEY INFORMATION In 2015 Hunstanton beach was awarded the Seaside Award for its cleanliness and beach management.
