HUNSTANTON BEACH

NORTH NORFOLK COAST

The North Norfolk coast is one of the most beautiful coasts in England and
benefits from a number of popular destinations for holidays or daily visits
including Wells, Burnham Market (also known as Chelsea on Sea), Brancaster and
the amazing Holkham Hall and beach. While you are spoilt for choice in terms of
beaches, Hunstanton beach remains a firm favourite among many locals and a place
for tourists to visit and stay.

BEACH

The Hunstanton beach is split into two areas; the part closest to the main
resort which includes arcades, the Princess Theatre, shops and a number of take
away & restaurants is made up of shingle and boulders leading into the sea.

Further north along the beach you come to Old Hunstanton which has a large area
of beautiful golden sand which you can only full appreciate when the tide is all
the way out. In addition there is an old ship wreckage that is worth viewing
along with amazing pink cliffs and white striped cliffs which is formed from a
mixture of white chalk and Norfolk carstone. The cliffs are best viewed when the
tide is out.

SUNSETS

Hunstanton is the only resort in East Anglia that faces west which offers
visitors and locals the most spectacular sun sets. We recommend visiting Le
Strange Arms Hotel to enjoy the best possible view.

HUNSTANTON

In addition to the beach, Hunstanton has a lot to offer as a resort including a
number of popular restaurants selling a variety of food from traditional fish
and chips to sit down pub meals. In addition you have the Sea Life Sanctuary and
crazy pirate golf. The Victorian resort of Hunstanton in Norfolk was built in
1846 and has a unique charm that remains popular today. In addition to
restaurants there is a theatre, a number of arcades and ten pin bowling. The
town has also been the winner of the prestigious RHS Britain in bloom
competition.
