It is designed to be practical and intuitive for people of any age, shape, or size to be able to learn. The techniques work on using natural and instinctive movements, allowing you to develop skills quickly and efficiently. You will learn how to defend yourself and your loved ones, while gaining confidence and fitness. BEST DEFENCE Krav Maga is the best pure self defence system and there are no competitions or showcases for self defence scenarios. TRAIN SCENARIOS We train on how to avoid scenarios to begin with, and if it is already beyond the point of no return, we train you to use the most effective strikes and techniques to get yourself to safety. WALK IN PEACE As quoted by our founder Imi Litchenfeld, we train in Krav Maga “so that one may walk in peace.” COMPLETE SYSTEM We do not train in Krav Maga to start fights or show off. You do not need any special clothing, a track suit or loose comfortable clothing is ideal. Once you join then a club uniform is available. How fit should I be? Krav Maga is designed for men, women and children of all ages and abilities. It is not about sheer strength or power. Being fit will help and your fitness will improve the more you train. What equipment do I need? Initially all training equipment is provided but as you progress, you are encourages to purchase your own equipment (MMA gloves etc.) for hygiene purposes. Students should consider buying a groin guard How much does it cost? Please contact us for additional information on all class prices, individual coaching and small group tuition. Are there gradings? There are different levels in Krav Maga, just like other marital arts. If you wish you can prepare for and take a grading test, then go on to the next level. There is no pressure to grade but if you want to then we will guide you through the process. Are the people friendly? Krav Maga classes are friendly and informal. Unlike some martial arts there are no rituals, or different ways of treating people based on their experience. Instructors use their first name. The focus is on learning the techniques and applying them. How long will it take to learn? Krav Maga is designed to be quick to pick up and easy to remember.
