Mariana Cuza, hailing from the enchanting region of Transylvania, Romania, is
more than just a survivor; she’s a storyteller of resilience and unwavering
spirit. Growing up amidst the suffocating grips of communism, her Christian
faith not only sustained her but also painted a target on her back. Her
audacious escape attempts, including a harrowing capture and imprisonment,
showcased her fierce determination to be free. Upon navigating her path to
asylum, first in Yugoslavia and eventually settling in the vast expanses of
Australia, Mariana transitioned from a seeker of freedom to an author, penning
her tumultuous journey.Today, Mariana stands as a testament to the strength
embedded within human spirit, and through her writings, she implores the world
to never take the taste of freedom for granted.
