APPLICATION AND ENDORSEMENT CHANGES

IMPORTANT CHANGE TO THE APPLICATION PROCESS

INTRODUCING THE NIA NONPROFITS SELECT APPLICATION

Brokers: We heard your feedback and have improved the submission process!

You may now use this NIA Nonprofits Select Application for most of your new
submissions.

BENEFITS TO YOU:

 * More convenient. All NIA coverages are now covered in one application — not
   in multiple places.
 * Saves you time. This application asks most of the main questions that NIA
underwriters need — reducing back-and-forth communications with you.
 * Fill out only relevant sections. Just check "N/A" and skip the sections that
   don’t apply to your client.
 * Easier. NIA always wants to make it easier to work together, and this new
application was designed with brokers’ input throughout.

HOW TO COMPLETE AND SUBMIT:

Fill out the application yourself, or in collaboration with your nonprofit
client via email.

When complete, save the PDF and send it to
submissions@insurancefornonprofits.org.

That's it!

HAVE QUESTIONS OR COMMENTS ABOUT THE NEW APPLICATION?

Contact your broker relationship manager, or just email

NONPROFIT POLICY ENDORSEMENTS MADE EASIER

There’s been some confusion about when your nonprofit clients need a policy
endorsement form for special events.

Here’s the bottom line: You only need a policy endorsement under a few
conditions.

THIS IS WHEN YOU DON’T NEED A FORM:

NIA’s Commercial General Liability policy provides automatic coverage for many
of the events that your nonprofit clients sponsor or co-sponsor — with no policy
endorsement required.

This includes:

 * Fundraisers
 * Events sponsored by the nonprofit that fall outside their day-to-day scope of
   operations.
 * Events where alcohol is being served.

THIS IS WHEN YOU DO NEED A FORM:

 * Any fundraiser or event with more than 500 people present at any one time
 * Athletic activities or contests (not including golf or bowling)
 * Animals (including, but not limited to, animals involved in rodeos, petting
   zoos, and animal exhibitions)
 * Carnivals, circuses, fairs, festivals, parades
 * Firearms, weapons
 * Water events (other than swimming pools, lakes, rivers, or other bodies of
   water)
 * Powered rides or amusement attractions (including, but not limited to,
climbing walls, slides, mechanical bulls, and bungee jumps)
 * Trampolines, bounce houses, rebounding equipment, inflatable amusement or
sports devices, moon walks, and inflatable combatant suits

THIS IS THE FORM YOU NEED:

Special Event Endorsement Request form

THIS IS HOW YOU SEND IT:

Email your form to: uwservices@insurancefornonprofits.org

NIA has a centralized endorsement process, with a specialized team.
