At the same time, House Democrats are rolling out a series of proposals on guns that are not expected to win significant Republican support and are unlikely to pass the Senate with the required 60 votes. And some bipartisan talks revolve around areas such as mental health and school security as solutions that don’t involve restrictions on access to guns.
