Introduction and Scope In this Privacy Notice for Candidate Relationship Management System (“Notice”) we describe how AMAZON and its affiliates as outlined below (“AMAZON” or “we”) process personal data of candidates and prospects (“Candidates” or “Prospects” or “you”) in connection with being contacted for possible job offerings at AMAZON. 2. Who are the Controllers? For recruiting events: The legal entity that is running the recruiting event. For recruiting purposes: the Talent Acquisition Teams of Amazon Europe Core S.à r.l. at 5 Rue Plaetis, 2338 Luxembourg, and Amazon.com, Inc. at P.O. Box 81226, Seattle, WA 98108-1226, USA determine how and why your personal data is processed, as autonomous controllers. 3. What Personal Data Do We Process AMAZON may process a number of different personal data about you (hereinafter jointly referred to as “Your Personal Data”), such as identification data (full name, email address, location, phone number etc.) data regarding your education history (such as university name, graduation date, degree level, job interests), your employment history (historical employment history, current or most recent employer, current or most recent title), your area of expertise, and whether you are interested in career opportunities at AMAZON. 4. How We Process Your Personal Data We only process data that you * made publicly available (e.g. LinkedIn, Xing, Viadeo, Indeed); or * provide us with when registering to a recruiting event; or * provide us with otherwise. Your Personal Data may be processed by third-party subjects (“Processors”), in particular: * If you are registering to a recruiting event, for the purpose of managing the event, Your Personal Data is processed by an external data processor, One Clipboard, Inc., d/b/a Splash and authorized sub-processors; * For the recruiting purposes, Your Personal Data is processed by Beamery Inc. and authorized sub-processors. The processing of Your Personal Data by Processors is governed by Data Processing Agreements. If you would like to see a copy of any relevant provisions, please see “Questions and queries” in our general EU Candidate Privacy Notice. Moreover, the Processors are Privacy Shield certified. 5. Purposes of Processing Your Personal Data and Legal Basis Based on our legitimate interests in preparing recruitments and managing candidates and prospects (Article 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”)) AMAZON (as identified in paragraph 2) processes Your Personal Data for the following purposes: 1. Managing recruiting events (in case you are registering to attend a recruiting event), including: 1. Managing the event organization; 2. Promoting recruiting events. 2. Managing recruitment, including: 1. Promoting specific job openings at AMAZON; 2. Managing the recruitment process. 6. Disclosure and Transfer of Your Personal Data AMAZON may share Your Personal Data: * With members of the AMAZON group on a need-to-know basis for the purposes as described in section 5; * With the Processors as outlined in section 4. 7. Retention Period Unless we start an application process with you, we will not store your data for longer than 18 months. You may request the deletion of Your Personal Data at any time as outlined in section 8 below. 8. Your Rights You have the right to request access to, correction, or deletion of Your Personal Data, to ask for data portability. Please note that you are also entitled to object to the processing of Your Personal Data in certain instances. To make a data subject request, please contact us on EU-privacy-dsr@amazon.com. Please contact us any time as outlined in “Questions and queries” as part of our general EU Candidate Privacy Notice. You can also lodge a complaint with the responsible supervisory authority.
