Aldi shoppers who enjoyed the supermarket’s giant pig in blanket Yorkshire
pudding last year will be pleased to know the festive dish will be returning
this Christmas. As part of the store’s most extensive collection of pigs in
blankets to date, the giant pork filled Yorkie will be making a come back in
time for the big day.

Priced at £4.99, the 380g side boasts of a whopping 60cm (two feet long) pig in
blanket made from British pork, inside a large Yorkshire pudding. Fans won’t
have too long to wait as it’ll be available from December 14.

Aldi caused quite the frenzy when it first ever released the pig in blanket
Yorkshire pudding, with plenty of shoppers eager to get their hands on it again
this year. On Facebook, Chris tagged a friend and wrote: “FIND IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Paige put: “Christmas Dinner sorted.” Amie added: “Need to have this!” Sadie
declared: “A million percent we need these for Xmas day.”

But that won’t be all, Aldi is also welcoming new additions to store this
Christmas – including a candy cane shaped brie and a cranberry pig in blanket.
Brand new for 2023 is the Yorkshire Pudding Wrap with Pigs in Blankets (£5.49,
391g).

The wrap combines two sausages wrapped in flavoursome smoky bacon nested in a
buttery Yorkshire pudding wrap. Available in stores from November 30.

Shoppers will also be able to enjoy a new show stopping addition with the
supermarket’s Specially Selected Brie and Cranberry Candy Cane Pig in Blankets.
This pig in blanket is infused with punchy cranberry and creamy brie, shaped as
a festive candy cane and will be available from December 7 for £2.99.

There will also be Aldi’s Specially Selected Pork, Maple & Chestnut Chipolatas
Wrapped in Bacon. For £3.19, customers can tuck into maple and chestnut-infused
sausage wrapped in smoked streaky bacon from December 7.

For the pork purists, Aldi’s Specially Selected Pigs in Blankets (£2.99, 210g)
are “back by popular demand” from November 24. There will also be Plant Menu
Ultimate Vegan Pigs in Blankets coming to stores from December 19 (£2.99, 228g),
made with the supermarket’s award-winning succulent Ultimate No Pork Sausages
and wrapped in smoky vegan bacon.

Another festive pork dish returning to shelves is the Specially Selected
Chipolatas Wrapped in Bacon (£2.49, 247g). Available in two flavours, Classic
and Caramelised Onion, these premium pig in blankets will perfectly compliment
any festive dinner – from December 19. Shoppers will soon be able to delve into
Aldi’s Specially Selected Pigs in Blanket Pizza (£4.49, 535g) too from December
8.

Aldi isn’t the only supermarket stocking festive meals ahead of Christmas. Marks
and Spencer is selling different sides, meats and platters – including Baked
Brie EnCroute, Handcrafted Festive Sausage Roll Garland and a Cheeseboard
Selection. Lidl is selling a Deluxe Winter Sharing Pie and and a Vegan Sausage
and Cranberry Wreath. Sainsbury’s has T ruffle Flavoured Pigs In Blankets.
