LEICESTERSHIRE, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE, RUTLAND, SOUTHERN LINCOLNSHIRE AND PARTS OF
CAMBRIDGESHIRE

Rotary District 1070 comprises almost 2,000 Rotarians in 80 Rotary Clubs,
Satellite and Impact Clubs and is currently led by District Governor, David
Kendrick, in this, our Centenary Year.





Rotary unites more than 1.4 million members in over 200 countries of the world,
making it the largest Service Organisation in the World.  

Rotary is not just an organisation, but a vibrant movement that is built upon
the foundation of fellowship, service, and ethical leadership and it continues
to be a beacon of hope around the world. It is a global network of dedicated
individuals from diverse backgrounds, united by the common goal of creating
lasting change in our communities and beyond.

ROTARIANS RECOGNISED IN NEW YEAR’S HONOURS LIST



A VARIETY OF ROTARIANS FROM ACROSS THE ISLES WERE REWARDED FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING
SERVICE IN THE 2024 NEW YEAR’S HONOURS LIST, INCLUDING DISTRICT 1070 ASSISTANT
GOVERNOR, RICHARD POWER.



RICHARD, FROM THE ROTARY CLUB OF LEICESTER, HAS BEEN AWARDED AN MBE IN THE NEW
YEAR’S HONOURS LIST. AN ORTHOPAEDIC SURGEON WITH THE UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS OF
LEICESTER NHS TRUST, HE IS ALSO CHAIR OF HEALTH ACTION LEICESTER IN ETHIOPIA. HE
WAS HONOURED FOR SERVICES TO HEALTH IN GONDAR, NORTHERN ETHIOPIA.
