It really drove home the significance of the job and that you need to have the right mindset to do the work.” Loucas is one of two recipients of the 2022 ERAC Leo Sichewski Memorial Bursary. In memory of Leo, a valued 24-year veteran of ERAC, the bursary allows ERAC responders, employees, Plan Participants, and family members of the previously mentioned, to access up to $2,000 annually for educational purposes. “Firefighting is not a job for everyone,” stated Loucas. “I’m fortunate that I’ve had first-hand experience learning what it takes to be successful in the profession and I’m confident I have all the tools to do so.” Back to newsletter Thanks for signing up!
