LANGFORD BRIDGE


NEWTON ABBOT

Persimmon Homes South West has submitted a reserved matters application on the
outskirts of Newton Abbot, which could provide 40 high-quality and sustainable
new homes for local people.

The Langford Bridge site, situated on land off Kingskerswell Road, Newton Abbot
is allocated within the local plan and has outline planning permission from the
local authority. 



Persimmon’s first phase application sits to the south of the site. It will be a
no-gas site and the residential development will deliver a 10 per cent carbon
reduction above Part L of the Building Regulations.

As part of our commitment to the local community, Persimmon is providing a
‘local homes guarantee’ which will see the majority of new homes at Langford
Bridge ringfenced for eight weeks for local people to reserve during the launch
months of April and May if planning permission is granted.

Throughout the planning process we have worked closely with officers and
stakeholders at Teignbridge District Council, and the local community including
businesses adjacent to the site.
