"LOW BATTERY" OR "URGENT BATTERY LOW" MESSAGE ON THE MAILSTATION SERIES

When you see a battery warning message, it means your meter must be replaced.
Request your no charge replacement meter as soon as any battery warning message
displays.
Products affected: mailstation™ and mailstation2™


ISSUE

Your meter displays a message related to your battery, such as "Low Battery,"
"Battery Urgent Low," "UIC Battery Low," "PSD Battery low" or "Urgent Battery
Warning."


CAUSE

Your meter's internal battery is close to end of its life.


RESOLUTION

When you see a battery warning message, it means your meter must be replaced.
Request your no charge replacement meter as soon as any battery warning message
displays.

The meter battery cannot be replaced like an ordinary household battery, and is
not related to power. Unplugging the power cord does not affect the meter's
data.


SOLUTION 1: CLEAR YOUR ERROR MESSAGE TEMPORARILY

 1. Press the Clear/Back button to clear the message
 2. Go to Solution 3 to request a no charge replacement meter.

If the message remains after you try clearing it, go to Solution 2 to try to
clear it temporarily by restarting the meter.


SOLUTION 2: TRY RESTARTING YOUR METER

 1. Unplug your power cord from the back of your meter.
 2. Wait one minute.
 3. Plug your power cord back into your meter, ensuring that it is plugged
    directly into a wall outlet.
 4. Run mail temporarily while you wait for the replacement meter.
 5. Go to Solution 3 to request a no charge replacement meter.


SOLUTION 3: REQUEST METER REPLACEMENT SERVICE

Request your no charge replacement meter as soon as any battery warning message
displays. Sign in to your account and create a technical support case as
follows:

 1. Under Your Products, select the serial number of your mailstation or
    mailstation2, which displays the error.
 2. Scroll down and expand Support Cases & Articles.
 3. Click Create a Case.
 4. Select Display Issues / Error Codes / Messages.
 5. Select The meter is displaying error “Urgent Battery Low / Battery Low”.
 6. Select No for any broken parts.
 7. Type "Error Battery Low, replacement required" in the details box and click
    Submit.
