Title: I'm really bummed to see the google rating for Fidelity at 2.2 stars. I've used my warranty twice in three years and both problems were resolved in less than one week. Title: We had similar experiences with long hold times but when we finally reached someone she was very nice and resolved a billing issue we had. I had a subsequent issue and was able to reach them on a Saturday morning with very little hold time and got my question resolved by another very courteous gentleman. Title: To be honest I was very weary to work with Fidelity. I have read the bad experiences other people have had and I was afraid that I would be next to write another low rating review. Fortunately, my experience with Fidelity was great! I called one of the technicians on a Tuesday telling them about how my washer and stove wasn't working properly. The technician asked the typical questions such as "can you explain what's happening?" and "how long has this occurred?". The technician then asked for the brand name of my appliances and then set up an appointment with an appliance company the next day. The next day, I get a call from the appliance company and set up a time for them to come and we agreed to have them come the same day around 2-5pm. Later in the afternoon around 3pm, the appliance company comes and fixes my stove and dish washer and even goes the extra mile to make sure everything is working properly. To sum everything up, my experience with Fidelity was amazing. I called a technician and got service done within 2 days! I simply paid the $75 deductible, to get a service that would of costed me hundreds. I though it was was a bit steep and they never told us this would happened when we signed up, they should let people know before signing up.. But they are a top company.. Title: Live out here in Arizona where the heat for weeks and even months can reach the triple digits. AC at home had poor air flow and no cold air blowing. Their dispatch department notified a repair order right away and within hours they were there. They diagnosed the problem, fixed it immediately and I was back to business. If I didn't have the warranty, I feel it would have cost me even MORE money for an additional visit and additional cost of materials. These services can be really expensive (it cost $700 out of pocket for me to turn off my apartment's fire alarm system temporarily while the AC was getting brazed) and Fidelity made it affordable. I read so many 1 star reviews that I honestly considered not even calling, but I'm glad I did. Instead of filing a service request online, I decided to call. It took 30 minutes of being on hold to reach someone, but understandable given the status of the country. The man I spoke with was very helpful and friendly. I asked a bunch of questions about what was covered and how the process works. I was hesitant to spend the $75 on the service request because a lot of reviews say their issues weren't covered and it was a waste of money. The rep asked if I had any other appliances that I wanted examined while the technician was there because then it would all be covered by the $75. I bought an old condo so naturally all the appliances were old. I requested that my dishwasher, washer and dryer also be inspected. The technician came by the next day and was very helpful. He came wearing a mask and quickly identified the problem with my old fridge. He also taught me how to properly use my dishwasher and did not identify any problems aside from user-error. He checked my washing machine and dryer. He recommended my dryer ducts be cleaned and said it wasn't covered under the warranty and gave me a quote. I pointed out that my dryer start button had chipped and asked if they could replace it, and they did. A couple days later they came back to repair my refrigerator and it's working fine. So overall, aside from waiting on the phone to speak to a representative, I had a very easy and pleasant experience. Definitely a big surprise given all the negative reviews. I live in San Diego and saw that another San Diego reviewer gave 4 stars so it may be location based. I did check the reviews for the technician companies that were dispatched and they had great reviews. As much as I was worried about having a terrible experience, I feel lucky that I've had a great experience. Title: We have had FHW since the purchase of our home in 2017 and have had multiple occasions to use the service. They replaced our washing machine soon after our move-in, and contributed to a roof leak also in year one. FHW fixed a garage door opener once and after we renewed they replaced it a second time. We also had an A/C issue (which was only a blown fuse) but they responded within a reasonable time frame and made the repair. Finally this March (during the Covid crises) our hot water heater went. It was replaced but cost us an additional $1,100 above the $1,500 FHW contributed. Had it not been an emergency I would have taken the cash out option and shopped another plumber. While my refrigerator issue was dragged on for a bit longer than I would have liked, the fact that I was connected with a representative (Elizabeth C. who, I guess goes by Liz) who could actually communicate with me, answer my questions promptly, and provide excellent follow up made a world of a difference. I feel like a lot of the issues that Fidelity seems to have with clients (based on all the reviews I've seen thus far) could be easily resolved if they could be connected with knowledgeable, and caring representatives, like Liz. Thanks for taking the time to turn things around, Fidelity!
