LEXINGTON AVENUE PEDESTRIAN SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS

LEXINGTON AVENUE PEDESTRIAN SAFETY IMPROVEMENTS

Please fill out a Residential, School, or Commercial Building survey for your
building within the Lexington Avenue Safety Improvements project area. The three
surveys can be found by clicking on one of the "Participate" buttons below

Project Overview

The Lexington Avenue Corridor is a Vision Zero* project, that aims to improve
the pedestrian network in the area by increasing safety and providing equitable
mobility for all users. It entails the design and construction of seven curb and
sidewalk extensions along the east side of Lexington Avenue between East 41st
and East 48th Streets, on the blocks surrounding Grand Central Terminal. The
other major component of this project is the replacement of underground water
utility lines on Lexington Avenue within the project area.

*Vision Zero is a strategy to eliminate all traffic fatalities and severe
injuries, while increasing safe, healthy, equitable mobility for all.

A Project Information Card can be found in the Documents section to the right
(link downloads a PDF).

The questions marked with a red border are required.
