CAPITAL ONE DATA BREACH CASH SETTLEMENT—YOU HAVE A CHOICE

The Lakeshore Law Center is filing a lawsuit against Capital One for massive
data breaches that were disclosed in July 2019.  

If you received a notice from Capital One Bank that you were a victim, we are
willing to represent you. Because we're bringing lawsuits for our clients
individually (as a group, but NOT as a class action) we can get you a much
better result---something better than the tiny amounts class actions usually
get. We've had success at this before. 

The largest category of information accessed was information on consumers and
small businesses as of the time they applied for a Capital One credit card
product between 2005 through early 2019. This information included personal
information such as names, addresses, zip codes/postal codes, phone numbers,
email addresses, dates of birth, and self-reported income.  Beyond the credit
card application data, Capital One Bank exposed: credit scores, credit limits,
balances, payment history, and contact information; fragments of transaction
data from a total of 23 days during 2016, 2017 and 2018;
about 140,000 Social Security numbers of credit card customers; and about 80,000
linked bank account numbers of secured credit card customers.

You should have received a letter from Capital One Bank notifying you that you
were a victim of the breach.  If you think you got the letter but misplaced it,
call Capital One Bank at 1-844-388-8999.  Ask them to send it again.  If you are
not sure if you got a letter before, call and ask Capital One to check and send
you the letter if you were.

We represented many victims in similar data breach lawsuit that settled for a
$992 payment to each client. We cannot disclose the name of that company because
it is confidential.  Other persons did not hire us but just participated in a
class action got only a few dollars each. We can do better than "a few dollars"
for our clients because we represent you, not the whole class.
