As stewards of exceptional resources, we strive to give greater value,
importance and effective service to every person entrusting us with his or her
individual need.

“In the early days, people couldn’t spell ‘dyslexia.’ Now, with a school of
Shelton’s caliber, people can hardly wait to get in if they have a child who
needs help.”

- David F. Martineau, Founding Board Member

"Ever since I was five, I’ve wanted to return to Shelton as a teacher. I don’t
think there’s a greater testament to Shelton’s influence on its students than
that. Shelton helped discover my life’s passion and purpose—you never forget who
made you realize your potential.”

- Alex Anderson, Student Class of 2018

"Shelton is a very mission driven place.  They figure out what makes each kid a
star, what their strengths are, and how we can tap into their gifts in order to
help them fulfill their potential.”

- Chris Lloyd, Father of two Shelton students

"The individualized instruction, and special attention provided by the teachers
at Shelton has made me realize there are no limits to what I can do.  I have the
ability and confidence to reach my goals now."

- Josie Hostin, Student Class of 2020

"My work here is special each and every day.  It’s an opportunity to shine a
light, not only on every student, but also on their parents and my co-workers.”

- Quarrell “Q” Washington, Sports Enhancement Coordinator, also a 2019 Shelton
