ABOVE-NORMAL HURRICANE SEASON EXPECTED


2022 ATLANTIC HURRICANE SEASON OFFICIALLY STARTS JUNE 1, BUT TROPICAL ACTIVITY
IS ALREADY BREWING

An above-normal season is being predicted again this year. The National Oceanic
and Atmospheric Administration’s projection calls for a 70 percent probability
of 14 to 21 named storms, six to 10 hurricanes and three to six major
hurricanes, said Rick Spinrad, the agency’s administrator. Read more
