If you have arrived here, you have made the first step in acknowledging there is
a need to talk to someone about how you’re feeling.




It can be hard to take that first step to seeking help, as we often think we
should keep our feelings to ourselves and hide away negative thoughts. Perhaps
you have managed the feelings and thoughts yourself for a long time but find the
same feelings keep reoccurring and are unable to move past a certain point. You
may have sought out help from friends or family but it seems no one really
understands what you are going through, or you may have tried to implement
others views to help you with what it is that is worrying you but these don’t
seem to help either.




Living a life based on others expectations on how we should live our lives, can
lead to anxiety and depression as well as a loss of identity, as we try to
conform to what others think we should do.




You might feel you have reached a crisis point, where you are no longer able to
conform to expectations or feel like your life has taken a direction you didn’t
want it to but are unsure of how to change your old ways of being. 

This is where counselling can help you.




Speaking with a trained, professional counsellor will help you to find the key
to unlocking the doors, which are preventing you from being able to move forward
in your life.

Taking care of our mental health is something we all need to be aware of as well
as our physical health. There may be people who make suggestions of how they
think you should change how you are, to fit into society and to be more accepted
by what is classed as normal. However, no-one is normal and that’s ok. 




Counselling is about helping you to understand yourself, it provides you with
the tools you can use, to develop the confidence to find your own answers and be
YOUR own “normal”.




By working together, we can develop a relationship which facilitates a change
within you, to help you become the person you want to be.

 As your counsellor, you will find I am warm, empathic and understanding to your
experiences.

  I offer an open and safe place for you to explore your feelings in a
non-judgemental way.

can be more self-assured in your future.

PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING CHANGE

This is a general notice informing all clients and potential clients that the
cost of RH Counselling Service therapy sessions will be increasing starting from
1st January 2022.

My rate for individuals will increase to £60 per session, couples shall increase
to £80 whilst the concessionary rate for the under 18’s over 60’s and NHS
workers will increase to £40.

Student Counsellors rate will also increase to £30

*Prices effective from 1st January 2022

Sessions booked before this date will be charged at the old rate.
