TOURIST GUIDE OF SINGAPORE

Border with Malaysia, Singapore is the most modern and developed country in all
of Southeast Asia. This small City - State is the smallest country in Southeast
Asia. Independent since 1965, Singapore is a country that has always grown
looking to the future making it today one of the most modern and developed
countries in the world.

 * Visas
 * Weather
 * Currencies

To travel to Singapore you will not need to process any visa beforehand whether
you are Spanish, Argentine, Chilean, Mexican, Uruguayan or from another Latin
American country. The duration of this visa will vary according to your
nationality, tourists with a Spanish passport will receive 90 days of stay while
Latin American tourists will receive 30 days.

In order to have the visa on arrival we must meet the following requirements:

6 months minimum validity in your passport (6 months minimum to expire)
Departure ticket of the country (only valid airplane).

Try to have enough money for your stay (not required for those who just want to
be in the country for a few days).
Complete the Disembarkation / Embarkation Card (if you travel by plane it will
be provided by the airline and if you enter by land they will give it to you in
the immigration office of the border).

The climate in Singapore is hot, oppressive, and overcast. Over the course of
the year, the temperature typically varies from 76°F to 89°F and is rarely below
75°F or above 92°F.

The best times of year to visit Singapore for hot-weather activities are from
early January to late March and from late July to early October.

The official currency of Singapore is the Singapore dollar (SGD, S $, $). In
1967 it replaced the Malay dollar as legal currency.

Coins and bills

In Singapore you can find coins of 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.5 and 1 SGD. The tickets
are 2, 5, 10, 50, 100, 500 and 1,000 SGD.

ATMs

Both cash withdrawal and cash exchange are possible anywhere in Singapore. You
can also pay with your international bank card and credit card anywhere in the
city.

Credit card

A credit card is required for some accommodations. Therefore, we always
recommend bringing a credit card during your trip. You also need a credit card
in some places to withdraw cash. If you want to buy a plane ticket, a credit
card is often mandatory. For emergencies, a credit card is also very useful.

WHAT TO DO

Buy cheap and good quality technology

Singapore is the paradise for lovers of the latest technology. Due to its
proximity to giants such as Japan or South Korea and being one of the busiest
commercial ports in the world makes technological products at a really cheap
price. in Singapore you can buy Samsung, IPhone and Mac electronic products or
last generation cameras at prices much cheaper than in our countries of origin.

Meet Singapore from the heavens

A city like Singapore must be known from the heavens. For this, the ideal place
is the Skyline of the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. After paying 20 usd for the
entrance you can hallucinate with the views of all of Singapore. Another option
would be to visit the The Pinnacle eSky Bar in Duxton Skybridge.

Discover Marina Bay and the Merlion of Singapore

Marina Bay is known as the area of the promenade that is in the commercial area
of the city. In Marina Bay you will find the famous fountain and symbol of the
city, the Merlion or half-lion half-lion figure. The best thing to do is to
visit at night so that you can see the light shows that are projected and the
ultra modern background of the city with its many skyscrapers.

Visit the Garden by the Bay Park

The Garden by the Bay Park is the most futuristic park in the city and an
example of the modernity to which Singapore aspires. In the park we can find the
famous artificial trees that are illuminated at night and that perform
photosynthesis.

Visit Chinatown

The majority of the population is ethnically of Chinese origin. Historically
they have always concentrated in the area of Chinatown, where we can find the
typical bazaars and enjoy the rich Chinese cuisine.

Visit Little India

In Singapore we can also find a small piece of India. In this area the Hindi
community living in Singapore has been concentrated. Apart from being able to
enjoy the typical Indian cuisine, it also highlights the Sri Veerama Kaliamman,
the most important Hindu Temple in the city.

Visit the Great Mosque of the Sultan

Located in the Arab or Muslim area of Singapore, the Great Mosque of the Sultan
is one of the great attractions of the city.

Visit the beaches of Sentosa

Singapore really is a small archipelago being one of the most important islands
of Sentosa Island. Sentosa is famous for being the quintessential beach area of
Singapore.

Witness the Singapore GP of Formula 1

Singapore hosts one of the most important events on the calendar of the Formula
1 Championship, the Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Grand Prix with an urban
circuit and with the incentive of being at night and traveling the main arteries
of the city. If you are a motor lover attending the competition is one of the
best activities to do in Singapore.

Stroll through Southern Ridge

Right in the upper part of the city, in what are called the southern cliffs or
Southern Ridge you can do one of the most amazing walks you've ever done in a
city. Through walkways and hanging bridges you can walk between treetops and
tropical forest. An authentic jewel of nature and example of the concept of
modernity and clean city that pretends to be Singapore.
