DID YOU GET AN EMAIL ABOUT BETTERHELP REFUNDS?

Choose Your Payment Method*(link is external)

If you got an email about BetterHelp refunds, use this online form(link is
external) to choose your payment method.

 *The claim form is hosted by an independent administrator. When you click on
the link, you will receive a warning message that you are leaving FTC.gov.


WHAT IS THE SETTLEMENT ABOUT?

BetterHelp agreed to pay $7.8 million to settle charges brought by the FTC. 

The FTC says that, among other things, BetterHelp promised to keep users’
information private but revealed data to Facebook, Snapchat, Pinterest, and
Criteo for advertising purposes. This data included email addresses, IP
addresses, and personal answers to health questions. BetterHelp offered online
counseling through several websites, including:
 
BetterHelp • MyTherapist • Teen Counseling • Faith Counseling • Pride
Counseling 
iCounseling • Regain • Terappeut


WHAT ARE MY PAYMENT OPTIONS?

If you do nothing, you will receive a PayPal payment at the email address where
you received the notice. If you want to choose a different payment method,
please use this online form(link is external).

You can choose:

 * a Zelle payment
 * a check in the mail
 * or a PayPal payment to a different email address.

To make a selection, you will need the Payment Code from the email you
received. 


WHAT IS THE DEADLINE TO DECIDE?

Please select your payment method by June 10, 2024. If you do nothing, you will
receive a PayPal payment at the email address where you received the notice. 


WHEN WILL I GET MY PAYMENT?

We plan to send payments later this summer. 


WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR A PAYMENT?

People are eligible for a payment if they signed up and paid for services from a
BetterHelp website between August 1, 2017, and December 31, 2020. BetterHelp
offered online counseling through several websites, including: BetterHelp,
MyTherapist, Teen Counseling, Faithful Counseling, Pride Counseling,
iCounseling, Regain, and Terappeuta, which are all included in the refund
program.


WHERE CAN I GET MORE INFORMATION?

Contact the administrator by phone at 1-833-637-4774 or by email
at info@BetterHelpRefundProgram.com(link sends email). 


WHO IS ANKURA CONSULTING LLC?

Ankura is the independent administrator chosen to oversee payments for this
settlement.
