Some seriously talented teenagers are looking to announce themselves to the
world as they prepare for this summer's tournament in Germany

Euro 2024 is now just a matter of days away, with fans and players from around
the continent buzzing with excitement ahead of what promises to be a thrilling
tournament. As always, one of the biggest reasons for that enthusiasm is the
prospect of young players emerging and making a name for themselves on the
biggest stage.

Plenty of prodigies will be on show in Germany this summer, with some set to
play key roles for teams that are expected to challenge for the title in the
coming weeks. But who should you be watching out for and getting to know ahead
of the big kick-off on June 14?

GOAL is here to give you the lowdown on the top teenage talents (born 2005 or
later) to watch out for at this summer's Euros...

   ARDA GULER (TURKEY)

Dubbed 'The Turkish Messi' when he broke into the Fenerbahce first team back
in 2022, Arda Guler is likely to carry the weight of his nation on his
shoulders at future tournaments. For now, however, the Euros will be seen as
an opportunity for the 19-year-old to gather some valuable experience of
   top-level international football.

Guler left Fenerbahce last summer, and joined Real Madrid in a deal worth an
initial €20 million (£17m/$22m) as Los Blancos beat rivals Barcelona to the
forward's signature. The teenager's debut campaign was largely ruined by
injury, however, as he was limited to just 12 first-team appearances.

A confident playmaker who has been likened to Mesut Ozil, Guler was still
able to make his mark at Santiago Bernabeu before the season was out, as he
scored six goals in his final seven games of the campaign to show he can be
an asset to Carlo Ancelotti next term.

   SEMIH KILICSOY (TURKEY)

Semih Kilicsoy could have done little more over the course of the campaign to
justify earning a spot in Turkey's Euros squad, and the teenager eventually
received his maiden call-up ahead of the tournament.

The 18-year-old was one of the breakout stars of the Turkish Super Lig
season, as he netted 11 goals for Besiktas after breaking into the first team
around the turn of the year, and he was rewarded for his fine form with his
first international cap against Italy in a pre-Euros friendly.

A forward who can play anywhere across the frontline, Kilicsoy's agent claims
that Manchester City, Arsenal and Bayern Munich are among the clubs keeping
tabs on the youngster, and if he gets a chance in Germany this summer, his
   price tag will only increase.

   KOBBIE MAINOO (ENGLAND)

You would have got long odds on Kobbie Mainoo making the England squad at the
start of the 2023-24 season, but the Manchester United teenager has enjoyed a
meteoric rise since making his full Premier League debut in November, and
could now even start for the Three Lions this summer.

The 19-year-old has not looked overawed by much since nailing down a regular
starting spot at Old Trafford, and enjoyed two excellent showings against
Brazil and Belgium after earning his first international call-up in March,
which cemented his status as a genuine option for Gareth Southgate.

A tempo-setting midfielder who can ghost past opponents and play inch-perfect
passes, Mainoo has also shown that he can be a threat in the final third, as
highlighted by his winning goal in the FA Cup final in May, as well as
stunning strikes against Wolves and Liverpool in the Premier League.

   LEO SAUER (SLOVAKIA)

Leo Sauer may only have two caps to his name heading into the Euros, but the
Slovakia winger certainly has the talent to make an impact this summer if he
is able to make the cut.

The 18-year-old is coming off a season during which he took his maiden steps
with the Feyenoord first team, and though he is yet to make his first start
for the Dutch giants, he still scored two goals and provided four assists
over the course of the campaign, averaging a direct goal involvement every 45
   minutes.

Most comfortable playing off the left-hand side, Sauer became the youngest
player to ever represent Slovakia when he made his debut in March, and is
definitely one to keep an eye on in Germany.

 * GABRIEL SIGUA (GEORGIA)

Georgia are the only tournament debutants at this summer's Euros, but the
minnows will be quietly confident of springing a surprise or two in Germany.
The youngest member of their travelling party is Gabriel Sigua, who was a
late call-up to Willy Sagnol's squad, and it remains to be seen how much game
   time he is offered.

Sigua burst onto the scene at Dinamo Tbilisi in 2022, and after a year in the
first team at his boyhood club, he was snapped up by Basel. The 18-year-old
endured a stop-start debut campaign in Switzerland, but still managed to
contribute three goals from his 17 league appearances, most of which came off
   the bench.

   ARTHUR VERMEEREN (BELGIUM)

Belgium's 'Golden Generation' may have come and almost-gone, but a new batch
of youngsters to have emerged in recent years means that not all hope is lost
for the Red Devils as they plot tournament success. One of the most talented
of those players is Arthur Vermeeren, who is set to take his place in
   Domenico Tedesco's squad in Germany.

The 19-year-old broke out at Royal Antwerp early in the 2022-23 season, and
became an ever-present as Mark van Bommel's side won their first league title
in 66 years. His form led to interest from Barcelona and Arsenal, before
Atletico Madrid paid an initial €18m (£15.4m/$19.5m) to sign him in January.

A deep-lying playmaker, Vermeeren is likely going to be limited to minutes
off the bench this summer, but has the potential to become a defining player
for Belgium over the next decade.

   LAMINE YAMAL (SPAIN)

He may be the youngest player at the Euros but there are few who can match
Lamine Yamal in terms of skill, with the Spanish sensation set to take the
tournament by storm if he can replicate his form for Barcelona.

The 16-year-old has broken record after record during his 12 months in the
Barca first team, and became both the youngest player to start and score for
Spain after earning his first call-up in September.

An electrifying winger, Yamal has been dubbed the best player to emerge from
La Masia since Lionel Messi, and given La Roja have lacked cutting edge
during their recent tournament disappointments, it would be a surprise if
Yamal did not play a major role for Luis de la Fuente's side in the coming
   weeks.

   KENAN YILDIZ (TURKEY)

Fans in Germany have already caught a glimpse of what Kenan Yildiz can do
after the forward marked his first Turkey start with a goal against the Euros
hosts as the visitors ran out 3-2 winners over Julian Nagelsmann's side in a
   November friendly.

That kickstarted a fine run of for 19-year-old Yildiz, who went on to score a
stunning solo goal on his first start for Juventus a month later, and backed
that up by scoring twice more in the Coppa Italia in early January. A product
of Bayern Munich's academy, Juve beat Barcelona to the signing of Yildiz in
2022, and he enjoyed an encouraging second half of the season after breaking
into the first team in Turin.

Capable of playing as a central striker or off the left-hand side, Yildiz's
dribbling ability and powerful shot make him a handful for any defender, and
it would be a surprise if he did not get regular minutes this summer for one
   of the dark horses.

   WARREN ZAIRE-EMERY (FRANCE)

France aren't short of top midfielders, so it speaks volumes that Warren
Zaire-Emery has already forced himself into Didier Deschamps' squad following
a true breakout season at Paris Saint-Germain.

The 18-year-old has smashed a number of records since breaking into the first
team at Parc des Princes midway through the 2022-23 campaign, and he took his
game to a new level over the past 12 months, with his performances in the
   Champions League proving particularly eye-catching.

A midfielder who can play as either a deep-lying playmaker or a box-to-box
threat, Zaire-Emery profiles as someone who will become a face of PSG's
new-look side in the post-Kylian Mbappe era, and some strong showings in
Germany will only boost his stock both at home and around the continent.
