That's what many executives in the industry say about the array of apps and solutions available. Well, try telling that to the new wave of automator-marketer. A new band of hands-on entrepreneur is harnessing Make's integration platform to slice through, level up and put many of their marketing tasks on auto-pilot. Here are some of our favorite recent examples. Watch as these marvelous Makers explain how to hack your communications strategy. 1. AUTO-GENERATE AND NURTURE LEADS BY INDUSTRY CATEGORY Ever wish you could click a button to magic-up hundreds of segment-specific prospects for your campaigns, and instantly reach out to them? George Woodworth has such a button. Here, the marketing automation practitioner shows how to leverage sales intelligence platform Apollo to generate a huge list of relevant leads. From there, he enriches the list with audience behavior, verifies email deliverability via Bounceless and kicks off campaigns in Reply.io and LinkedIn. More: * Business function: Lead processing * Templates: Ads, Conversions & Audiences 2. SHARE ECOMMERCE PRODUCT LISTINGS TO SOCIAL MEDIA So, you're an ecommerce seller who wants to share your products with the world? Manually posting to the growing number of platforms is painful. So Ryan Hogue has a "set-it-and-forget-it" system that automates creating X, Facebook and Instagram posts. Ryan, a print-on-demand seller, uses Make to catch all new items added to his Etsy t-shirt shop, posting corresponding updates to all his social channels. "It could not be easier," Ryan says. More: * Templates: Ecommerce, Social Media 3. ACCELERATE OUTREACH AND REPORTING WITH GPTS Leveraging artificial intelligence is easy when you're using an automation platform. Here, George Woodworth leans on OpenAI's GPT models to author a range of marketing copy. George is using Make to create GPT Assistants that can act on custom-fed information. Very impressive. More: * Templates: Artificial intelligence * Integrations: AI apps 4. SCORE NEW X FOLLOWERS AS LEADS Are there potential leads lurking in your X (formerly Twitter) followers? The answer to that question could dictate whether you pump out tweets to everyone or take a targeted approach. OpsKings co-founder and TEDx speaker Ryan Hildebrandt cooked up this workflow that applies a lead score to new followers based on their location, profile keywords and other data points. The result is a refined, ordered list of X users for cold outreach via DM - and that beats spray-and-pray any day. More: * Business function: Lead processing * Integrations: PhantomBuster 5. AUTOMATE TOPICAL SOCIAL MEDIA POST CREATION AND DISTRIBUTION Authentic brands don't just push their own products or services - they post about news and trends in and around their space. But how can busy brands scale that kind of social sharing? For AI automation teacher Jack Roberts, it all begins with a story. His scenario feeds a news article to OpenAI Assistants he has pre-trained on social media posting best practices, posting unique headlines and takes to multiple social networks, complete with auto-produced custom illustrations. More: * Templates: Automate posting from Blog to Social Media with ChatGPT * Integrations: OpenAI 6. GENERATE ARTICLES AND IMAGES USING AI We are amazed by the Makers who are using generative AI to automate content creation at scale. Automatic content doesn't have to mean middle-grade results. AI consultant Dylan Leighton of AI Up uses OpenAI to author illuminating, search-friendly articles that borrow from the playbook of marketing guru Neil Patel. More: * Templates: Automate posting from Blog to Social Media with ChatGPT * Integrations: OpenAI 7. TRANSFORM VIDEO ASSETS INTO NEW CONTENT Making just one quality video can be a heavy lift - but ad hoc recordings don't add up to a content strategy. Kontent Engine founder Stephen Pope found a way to turn each B-roll video asset into multiple other versions, using an ElevenLabs voiceover and an API that applies audio to video. More: * Templates: Generate voice overs with ElevenLabs from WordPress articles and upload links to a Google Sheet * Integrations: ElevenLabs 8. GENERATE IMAGE CAROUSELS FROM TEXT RECORDS All marketers need to produce visual assets - but not everyone has the skills to make graphics. In another fantastic scenario, Stephen Pope uses the Placid graphic tool to automatically produce images based on little more than a Google Doc of ideas, assembling the files into a single PDF. Now that's what I call multi-modal! More: * Integrations: Placid, PDF.co MAKING THE FUTURE These marvellous examples from the Make community show just how marketing tasks can be transformed. That is thanks to the emerging fusion of automation and AI. On their own, those two technologies deliver efficiencies. Together, however, many marketers are finding they can generate wholly new kinds of results. ROBERT ANDREWS LIKE THE ARTICLE? SPREAD THE WORD.
