If you have young kids, I highly recommend this zoo. Our guide was very
informative and was very nice. My 3 year old... loved it, it's a good activity
between all the beaches and pools. He got to hold a crocodile, a snake and a
hairless dog, and also was kissed by a bird, he would still talk about it after
he is back from his trip that took place 4 months ago. As an adult, I likes it
too, just seeing so many native species and also get informed with a real live
guide made it more fun.read more

This definitely is an unforgettable experience. Especially if you don't have any
of this animals free living in your... home country. The enimals get treated
very well. If you buy any food to feed the animals it's all natural. Can highly

We had a small group and a great guide. I have never been this close to snakes,
alligators and such. Very knowledgeable... guide with great information. It's
about 1h long and priced okay. My 5 and 6 year old kids had a great time as

Lovely place. All animals are rescued from captivity and illegal pet trade so
cannot be released (and very well looked... after). Tour is very informative,
useful to know which snakes might kill you in Mexico! And the interaction with
the animals is wonderful for any animal lover, you may not see the monkeys as
they are wild and just come back for food, but that's probably for the best.read

Really overpriced for what you actually get. 1 hour and you are limited to your
tour group's pace. My wife and I like... to enjoy zoo's and we can spend hours
and hours at them. So we felt like the experience was rushed. There is a similar
zoo where I live that is interactive and costs MUCH less than this. Definitely a
tourist grab. With the time limit, guided tour and a tip expected it should not
be as much as it is. Still, I really enjoyed it and recommend this experience to
anyone who loves animals. Prices should be lower.read more

well. Crocodiles, parrots, snakes, some... mammals, monkeys, deer... Much to

Great place, got there as they opened and only 4 of us in the group for the
tour. Guide that showed us around and knew... her facts. Got to handle some
crocs, snakes and some parrots. Definitely worth a visit if you have a few hours
to kill. Also a taxi rank outside.read more

This place is a true hidden gem. It's not offered by the tour guides in the
hotels so no one really heard about it... unless they do some research on their
own. It is beautiful and the hands on part of the zoo is quite the experience.
Unlike anything else in the states. Our guide, Carla, was amazing and very
informative. We learned a lot and had a great time together. My husband and I
got to hold crocodiles, pet special dogs, feed and pet deer, walk among the
crocodiles, feed monkeys and parrots, and see many other animals. Highly
recommend this zoo. Just take a taxi over and purchase admission there
yourselves. They're friendly and provide a great experience. (Make sure to put
on bug spray, they sell it in the store and in the front. We didn't and highly
regretted it. Lots of bugs since it is, after all... in a jungle)read more

 * PRODUCT:
   60-75 minutes interactive English spoken guided tour. You will able to touch,
   hold and feed great variety of our wild local animals; and if you are brave
   enough… to walk among crocodiles.
 * INCLUDES:
   Admission to the zoo, guided safe interactive experience, all pictures you
   can take and unforgettable beautiful memories.

 * EXTRAS: (not included)
   Interaction feeding bag (one per group should be enough).
   Round trip transportation.
   Guide tips
 * AMENITIES:
   Cafeteria, gift shop, snacks, picnic area, restrooms and children playground
   & wifi.

 * HOURS:
   Open everyday from 9:30am to 4:30pm.
   Round transportation buy a day in advance, check booking engine for valid

ZOO, SHELTER OR SANCTUARY?


In recent times, public attention turned towards animals in captivity, and Zoo’s
aren’t the exception.

Croco Cun did not start as a zoo, however, our Riviera Maya destination
ecological needs, have turned us into a very peculiar one. Most of the specimens
have come to our home as donations, as well as rescues or seizures that the
environmental authorities have placed under our care.

The residents of our zoo play an important role in the fauna conservation
through education and interaction with our visitors.

HOW TO GET HERE

We are located on the 307 highway very close to Puerto Morelos which is a
peaceful village on the Mayan Riviera, great to experience the genuine Yucatan.
Puerto Morelos makes an excellent base if you’re looking for some place quieter
than glitzy hotspots like Cancun or Playa del Carmen. Government eco-reserve
designations protect the reef and mangroves, and the village itself, from
development. Outdoor options range from thrilling jungle and diving adventures
to serene bike rides or moped explorations


 * Taxi:
   Fast but expensive option.
 * Bus:
   At Cancún´s or Playa del Carmen´s bus station, take the bus-line MAYAB and
   specify you’re getting off at Croco Cun so they charge the correct fee.
 * Mini van:
   At Cancún´s bus station, in front of the main doors, crossing the parking
   lot, take the PLAYA EXPRESS minivan. Tell the driver you are getting off
   at Croco Cun so he charges the correct fee. This minivan can also be taken at
   Playa del Carmen on Calle 2 between Av.20 Norte and Av.25 Norte.
   
   
   
   * Getting to Croco Cun Zoo from Cancún by bus or minivan (costs around 25
     pesos per person), the driver will drop you out in front of the zoo on the
     federal highway. Please be carefull when you crossing.
   * To get to Cancún´s bus station from the Cancún hotel zone, take the bus
     (Turicun or Autocar) with RUTA 1 on the window. (it must include Downtown,
     Av. Tulúm destinations) and ask the driver to drop you out on Tulum Av.
     near the bus station. It costs around 12 pesos per person.
