journal advancing the science and practice of disaster medicine and public
health.

Conference sessions examined the effects of disasters on vulnerable populations
focusing on:

 * Climate change and disaster response
 * Conflict medicine and population health
 * Artificial intelligence, decision aids and equipment, and their effect on
   mass casualty incident response
 * Disaster medicine education, training, and competencies which are culturally
   and geographically relevant
 * Mental health

TÜRKIYE AND SYRIA EARTHQUAKES

The Disaster Medicine and Public Health Preparedness Journal (DMPHP) and the WHO
EMT Initiative are seeking manuscripts that analyze and document the results of
response efforts on the population health of the affected communities and those
that responded. Data-driven public health and clinical outcomes in terms of
morbidity, mortality and socio-economic well-being are of particular interest.
Specifically, the utilization of technological and innovative solutions and
their impact on local health care delivery systems including operation
modalities, challenges, and best practices are of interest.



Submissions are currently being considered and will be triaged before assignment
to one of the Guest Editors who will conduct a full peer review. Manuscripts,
when accepted, will be published online as ready and will be assigned to an
online collection.

Intending authors are strongly advised to carefully read the Instructions for
Authors and Preparing your Materials prior to submitting

Authors should select Earthquake: Türkiye/Syria in the Author Center when

EMT Network Leader at WHO HQ in Geneva, heading the EMT Initiative and its
efforts to provide strategic, technical, and operational guidance and oversight
for capacity building, standards setting, coordination, and emergency health
operations to ensure predictable, timely, and quality emergency medical care is
delivered in response to a disaster, outbreak or other emergency.
