ACTIVATION OF YOUR LUXTRUST PRODUCT


ACTIVATE

You are about to activate your LuxTrust product (LuxTrust Mobile app, Token,
Scan, SmartCard or Signing Stick). First, we invite you to have a look at what
to expect during the activation process for your chosen device, then gather all
the necessary elements for a successful activation.

1.
Activate your Token

Estimated time: 5 minutes

 1. Click on the "Start activation".
 2. Select the Token.
 3. Enter your User ID in the dedicated field and validate.
 4. Enter your initial password in the dedicated field and validate.
    
    You will find your User ID and initial password in the letter or SMS
    received with your LuxTrust codes. If you no longer have these elements,
    contact our Customer Service Desk at (+352) 24 550 550.
     
 5. Choose a new complex password (6 to 10 characters) and enter it in the
    dedicated field. Confirm and validate.
 6. Choose 3 security questions. This will allow you to identify yourself in
    case you lose your device or forget your credentials. Indicate a clear
    answer that you will remember for each of them and validate.
 7. Press the button on your Token to generate a 6-digit one-time code (OTP
    code).
 8. Enter the OTP code generated in the dedicated field and validate.

2.
Activate your LuxTrust Mobile app (if you have never been equipped with a
LuxTrust device before)

Estimated duration: 5 minutes

 1.  Order the LuxTrust Mobile app on our website or contact your bank to order
     it on your behalf.
 2.  Download the LuxTrust Mobile app from the App Store or Google Play. 
     
 3.  Open the app on your smartphone and tap on "New LuxTrust user".
 4.  Enter your User ID and validate. You will find this User ID in the SMS
     received after ordering your certificate.
 5.  Enter your activation code. You defined this code when ordering. We advised
     you to use the last 5 characters of your ID card or passport number. You
     will find this code in the order confirmation you received by email. If you
     no longer find it, please contact our Customer Service Desk at (+352) 24
     550 550.
 6.  Define a PIN code (of 6 digits) to secure access to your LuxTrust app.
 7.  Activate biometric recognition (FaceID, TouchID or FingerPrint) which will
     allow you to open the application without having to insert the PIN code.
 8.  Choose your security questions and indicate a clear answer for each of them
     before you validate.
 9.  Enter the initial password which you will also find in the SMS you
     received.
 10. Choose a new complex password to finalize the activation and validate it.
 11. Your LuxTrust Mobile app is now ready to use.

 

Technical requirements:

LuxTrust Mobile app is compatible with iOS 12 (or newer) or Android 6 (or
newer). For security reasons, LuxTrust does not accept rooted or jailbroken
devices.

3.
Activate your LuxTrust Mobile app using your LuxTrust Token

Estimated duration: 5 minutes

 1.  Install the LuxTrust Mobile app from the App Store or Google Play on your
     smartphone.
     
 2.  Open the app and tap on "Login".
 3.  Enter your User ID and validate. You will find this User ID in the SMS or
     letter you received after ordering your Token.
 4.  On the new screen, select the device you usually use to connect to your
     banking or online applications, in this case the Token.
 5.  Enter your LuxTrust credentials: User ID, password and the OTP generated
     with the help of your token and tap on "Authenticate".
 6.  Optional: you can activate LuxTrust Mobile app on maximum 2 devices. In
     case you have already activated the app on 2 other devices, you are
     now required to replace one of them.
 7.  Define a PIN code (of 6 digits) to secure access to your LuxTrust app.
 8.  Choose a name for your device that you can remember. It will help you in
     case you need to replace this device or to suspend access to the app.
 9.  LuxTrust will send you a SMS containing a link to complete the activation.
     In the meantime, you can leave the app. When you receive the SMS, click on
     link which will automatically open the app. LuxTrust will never ask you to
     share your credentials by clicking on this link.
 10. Your LuxTrust Mobile app is now ready to use.

 

Technical requirements:

LuxTrust Mobile app is compatible with iOS 12 (or newer) or Android 6 (or
newer). For security reasons, LuxTrust does not accept rooted or jailbroken
devices.

4.
Activate your LuxTrust Mobile app using your LuxTrust Scan

Estimated duration: 5 minutes

 1.  Install the LuxTrust Mobile app from the App Store or Google Play on your
     smartphone. 
     
 2.  Open the app and tap on "Login".
 3.  Enter your User ID and validate. You will find this User ID in the SMS or
     letter you received after ordering your Scan.
 4.  On the new screen, select the device you usually use to connect to your
     banking or online applications, in this case the Scan.
 5.  Enter your LuxTrust credentials: User ID and password and tap on
     "Authenticate".
 6.  A mosaic image (QR code) will appear on the screen. Scan it using your Scan
     device to generate the OTP and enter the displayed numbers in the dedicated
     field on the app.
 7.  Optional: you can activate LuxTrust Mobile app on maximum 2 devices. In
     case you have already activated the app on 2 other devices, you are

5.
Activate your Scan

Estimated time: 6 minutes

 1.  Click on the "Start activation" button.
 2.  Select the Scan.
 3.  Enter your User ID in the dedicated field and validate. You will find this
     User ID in the letter or SMS you received some time before receiving your
     Scan.
 4.  Scan the first QR code and enter the 10-digit code generated by your
     device.
 5.  Enter your activation code. You defined this code when ordering. We advised
     you to use the last 5 characters of your ID card or passport number. You
     will find this code in the order confirmation you received by email. If you
     no longer find it, please contact our Customer Service Desk at (+352) 24
     550 550.
 6.  Confirm the code.
 7.  Scan the second QR code and enter the 8-digit code.
 8.  Enter the serial number you find on the back of the Scan.
 9.  Confirm the code entered.
 10. Scan the QR code and validate the action on the Scan.
 11. Enter the OTP code displayed on the LuxTrust Scan.
 12. Enter the initial password which you will also find in the letter or SMS
     you received.
 13. Choose a new complex password to finalize the activation and validate it.
 14. Choose your security questions and indicate a clear answer for each of them
     before you can validate.
 15. Scan the last QR code and enter the OTP code displayed on your Scan.

6.
Activate your SmartCard or Signing Stick

Estimated time: 20 minutes

 1.  Download the LuxTrust middleware available here.
 2.  Restart your computer.
 3.  Insert your Smartcard into the card reader or your Signing Stick into the
     USB port.
 4.  Enter your initial PIN code that you received by letter after receiving
     your Smartcard or Signing Stick.
 5.  Choose a new PIN code (6 to 16 digits) and type it in the dedicated field,
     then a second time before validating.
 6.  Click on the "Start activation" button below.
 7.  Select the device to activate: Smartcard or Signing Stick.
 8.  Enter your PIN code that you have previously defined and confirm.
 9.  Choose your security questions and indicate a clear answer for each one
     before you can validate.
 10. Enter your activation code. You defined this code when ordering and you
     were advised to use the last 5 characters of your ID card or passport
     number. You will find this code in the order confirmation sent to you by
     email. If you no longer find it, please contact our Customer Service Desk
     on (+352) 24 550 550.

Your certificate is activated. Please note that it will be usable after 4 hours.


WHAT DO YOU NEED TO ACTIVATE YOUR LUXTRUST PRODUCT?

Depending on your chosen LuxTrust product, you will have to provide during the
activation process different verification elements. Make sure you have them at
hand before you start the activation.

 * Your User ID received by letter and / or SMS
 * Your initial password received by letter and / or SMS
 * Your device (if applicable)
 * Your activation code (defined during ordering and required to activate the
   LuxTrust app, a Scan, a SmartCard or a Signing Stick)
