The Department of Labor established rules that allow plan sponsors to roll over their eligible participants’ funds to qualified institutions such as Inspira. During an automatic rollover, money from one account, often a 401(k) account or retirement savings plan from a previous job, is transferred into a new account. This can happen when you switch jobs or leave an employer and leave a retirement account there. It's a way to keep your funds in a safe retirement account until you reconnect with your money. How does an automatic rollover IRA work? Your former employer sent your money to Inspira to hold on your behalf. We worked with them to move your money into an IRA and keep your money safe from tax penalties. When you’re ready to reconnect with your money and claim your account, you can choose what to do next with it. What are my options after I claim my rollover account? Now that your money is with Inspira, you have a few options — and your money is in your control. You can decide to: * Keep your account with Inspira * Move your money to your current 401(k); * Transfer your money to another IRA provider * Withdraw your money If you keep your money with us, you’ll have access to a wide range of traditional and alternative investment options to help you reach your long-term goals. With our Simple Select tool, you can pick from a list of funds curated by experts at Morningstar. How do I contribute to my HSA? If you have an Inspira HSA, you can contribute to your HSA through pre-tax payroll deductions. You can also transfer funds to and from your HSA through our website or app. What are my investment options with an HSA? If you have an HSA with us, you can also open an HSA investment account. You can invest any HSA funds over the minimum balance (usually $1,000). Check the investments page of your online account to find your minimum balance. If you need to use the funds in your HSA investment account, you can easily transfer funds back to your HSA. Keep in mind, any funds in an HSA investment account are not FDIC-insured. Learn more about investing with an HSA After I open an account, how long before I can make a purchase or start investing in alternative assets? IRS regulations allow for a 7-day revocation period for all new IRAs. As a result, there is a hold on directing any investments for new accounts until after this revocation period (unless otherwise waived). Only after all investment documentation has been properly executed and account funding has cleared can the investment be made on your behalf. This varies based on two factors — the amount of time it takes to fund or transfer assets to your Inspira account and the type of alternative asset to be held in the account.
