Cleaning supplies company Fabuloso voluntarily recalled about five million
bottles of Multi-Purpose Cleaners.

The company said a preservative was not added at the intended levels during
manufacturing.

As a result, the products could experience bacteria growth.

The bacteria could enter the body through the eyes, through a break in the skin
or if inhaled.

The recall covers bottles manufactured in the U.S. from December 14 to January
23.

Approximately one million bottles of the recalled products were released for
sale.

Fabuloso’s announcement follows a recall by The Clorox Company in October.

Testing identified bacteria in Clorox products, and the company recalled 37
million products made between January 2021 and September 2022.
