Is the situation critical?

Yes. We can’t wait – we’re losing people, and that’s a problem. In fact, it’s
led to alarming repercussions: a scarcity mentality, declining tax base, loss of
Congressional seats and a dwindling talent pool. If we want to stop further
losses and begin to thrive, we need to chart a new strategy that plants our flag
in a prosperous future.

Who is trying to solve this problem?

We are. We’re built differently – we have to be. Many regional organizations are
charged with managing and promoting Pittsburgh.  Each has its own focus –
governing the region, attracting global business, recruiting talent or welcoming
visitors. We have to create a focused strategy on the people that will power
Pittsburgh. The pioneers. The visionaries who take risks and solve problems to
build a better tomorrow.
