Amazing Spa Facility

I have been to numerous saunas during my trips to The Netherlands/Germany/Poland
and this was the best yet. Its about a 15 minute walk from Haarlem Centraal
station but there are buses 7 days per week also.
I made my reservation in advance as this is recommended and on arrival I was
given my robe and towel and after getting changed one of the team from behind
the bar showed me round which was great as there is a lot to see.
From the Turkish Steamroom to the plunge pool and the large indoor pool were all
very good.

Outside there is a wonderful piece of engineering in one of the saunas that
every 15 minutes these large mechanical fans start up and the door covering the
sauna coals open and a mechanical arm drops water onto the coals.
Upstairs there is a Cinema and it was great being able to relax between
treatments by watching The Theory of Everything.
The food in the restaurent was very nice and when i settled the bill at the end
it was not at all expensive.
I am looking forward to returning to the Netherlands again and visiting Sauna
Van Egmond once more.

Loved it!
Its like an Oasis in the middle of the city.
You are transported to another world when you enter the spa complex- the
interior give this place a cosy feel.

The Roman pool area is amazing. I went there on a Saturday and was lucky as it
was not crowded, so I could relax without any disturbance.

The staff was very friendly and i loved the food!

Perfect place to chill

Beautiful place, where you can really rest. It's not too big and not too small -
just cozy! And also perfectly clean.

There is a restaurant in it, where you can find all you need - delicious food,
healthy drinks and also beers ;)

Excellent facilities especially the Steam room
I have been a few times when in the area and this is a lovely spa. The steam
room with a cold shower just by the door and the main sauna are probably the
highlights, with a pool that is really for lounging not swimming. The caldarium
has a strange almost clockwork like way of pouring water from time to time, and
there is a fish tank by the hottest sauna.

Food is excellent, staff are always helpful, willingly speak English if needed.

Wonderful Experience

My wife and I went to Sauna van Egmond last week. It was our first experience in
a Dutch spa/sauna and we had a wonderful time. We interacted with a number of
staff members and they could not have been more welcoming or helpful.

We had a dual massage that was fabulous and then we enjoyed the different
facilities. We especially liked the pool, whirlpool, and Caldarium Maximus
sauna. There is also a great cool down area outside.

As first time sauna goers, we did find some of the rooms very warm, which we
suspect is perfect for more experience people. It was a sunny day and they have
a very nice area to lay outside.

The restaurant offered good food at reasonable prices.

It was a great experience and we cannot say enough good things about the staff.

Has to be done!
This was my first naked sauna experience and I was both excited and nervous
before we went.

I went with my girlfriend and was a little apprehensive at first but once we got
those robes off within seconds your inhibitions dissapear and it feels like the
most natural normal thing!

The sauna itself is excellent, lots of different saunas to try and various pools
and the weather was great meaning we could sunbathe outside. There is a
restaurant and a room upstairs where you could chill and watch a film. Overall I
wish myself and my girlfriend had the whole day to relax here but we had a
flight to catch, will definitely come again when next in town!

Lovely Relaxing Wellness/Spa in which spend our Anniversary
I treated my husband to a weekend in Amsterdam to celebrate our wedding
anniversary. Although we had visited other Spas in the city, none can compare
with the relaxation offered by Sauna Van Egmond in Haarlem (just 18 minutes
train journey, and 6 minutes bus ride).

So for our special day, we both agreed that we'd love to spend it together at
Van Egmond. In Holland, they have perfected the concept of wellness/sauna/spa
with excellent standards of cleanliness, courteous and helpful staff, great food
and selection of healthy and alcoholic drinks at this our favourite sauna. There
is a choice of a number of saunas (with differing temperature and humidity),
steam room, super caldarium, swimming pool and jacuzzi. If you're visiting
Haarlem or Amsterdam and are seeking a day's relaxation as an antidote to city
attractions, Sauna Van Egmond can be wholeheartedly recommended by this happily
married couple. Worth booking in advance if visiting at the weekend.

“A marvellous place”
As a local I escaped from the Cologne carnival and stayed in Noordwijk aan Zee
during the week from 3rd to 10th February 2016. I was very much surprised to see
dressed up people celebrating carnival in this part of the netherlands far away
from the German border.

Anyway I wanted to go into a sauna before getting back to Cologne. I spotted van
Egmond's sauna which is the most beautiful one I have ever been to. It is worth
it to spend a day in. Its interior looks simply great and stands for an
atmosphere which definitely supports someone's need for relaxation. You will
meet great facilities and not least a restaurant offering delicious meals.

When you will stay in Haarlem some fine day you should not miss to get into this
beautiful sauna.
