FILE YOUR FAFSA

To be considered for financial aid at Illinois State, you must file a FAFSA each
year. Complete your application for Federal Student Aid.


EXPLORE SCHOLARSHIPS

It’s application season for many scholarships including some awarded by Illinois
State and others outside the University.

 


ALTERNATIVE APPLICATIONS FOR ILLINOIS MAP GRANTS

Eligible undocumented students who are disqualified from federal financial aid
can apply for all forms of state financial aid.

 


HOW FINANCIAL AID WORKS

Financial aid can be pretty complicated, especially if you are the first in your
family to attend college. Whether you are an incoming freshman, transfer, or
graduate student, we recommend familiarizing yourself with the whole process
here at ISU. Remember, every school’s process is a little different.

 * CHANGE IN CIRCUMSTANCE
   
   If you and/or your parents have experienced a decrease in income or a major
   financial change, we can review your financial aid eligibility.


 * CHECK YOUR STATUS
   
   Keep an eye on your To-Do List In My.IllinoisState.edu and your campus email.
   Award offers will be posted in My.IllinoisState.edu in March.


 * LEAVING THE UNIVERSITY
   
   See how exiting the university works and how we can help you through it.

Aid Office to see if there are any other options available for you.


STAY UP-TO-DATE ON EVERYTHING FINANCIAL AID


 * COMPLETING THE ENTRANCE COUNSELING AND MASTER PROMISSORY NOTE
   
   The Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note are two items that are
   required to be completed by first time loan borrowers on the federal website
   (StudentAid.gov).


 * BIDEN ADMINISTRATION’S STUDENT LOAN DEBT RELIEF PLAN
