"Our son was one of the first clients under the NDIS many years ago. His whole
life, it was difficult for my wife and I to find him the care he needed, so we
spent years getting permission to take control of his care, along with our
younger son who has learning challenges. I didn't know much about disability
care 22 years ago but having cared for both my sons for so many years, I have a
huge appreciation for the value of disability support workers who truly care.
Creating GoodCare Ability Services matters to me, because my wife and I were
always living in fear when my son was out with strangers, because he's
non-verbal and has challenging behaviours. Every participant we care for now is
just as if I'm providing that care to my own kids."
