ABOUT THE SURVEY

The SERU Survey is a product of a consortium of peer research universities that
asks about a wide range of aspects, from academic skills through global
engagement opportunities to civic engagement, financial considerations, the
climate for diversity and inclusion, and more. All degree-seeking University
undergraduates—first-years through fourth-years—aged 18 and older are invited to
take the survey every other year.  These survey data are used to provide UVA
faculty, staff, and administrators with unique insights into students’
experiences.

After completing the survey, you're eligible to win one of 200 $25 gift
certificates to your choice of more than 100 retailers.

SERU gives you an opportunity to comment on the quality of your education and
your life at UVA in and out of the classroom. We value your honest perceptions.
By completing the SERU, you help us identify areas where UVA is doing well, and
areas where we can still improve.  We rely on information from SERU to guide
planning and decisions that affect your experience and those of students who
will follow in your footsteps.
