Limited ("we" or "us"). We are the "controller" of all personal data collected
and used for the purposes of providing this website and for any other purposes

we are responsible for deciding how and why your personal data is used and for
ensuring that your data is handled legally and safely.

Our Information Governance Committee have ultimate responsibility within
Portakabin for making sure that this Website Privacy Policy and the law are

and handling it in compliance with current legislation. This Website Privacy

The principal activity of Portakabin Limited is the hire and sale of modular and
portable buildings.


Collection of your data
Data from you or your use of our website

We collect some data directly from you when you register an enquiry with us,
contact us via email, request a brochure, enter one of our competitions, submit
a comment or question on the Contact Us page on our website or complete a
customer survey.

This data includes the following:

 * full name;
 * company name;
 * telephone number;
 * email address;
 * postcode;
 * job title;
 * information about you in relation to your project (if you choose to provide
   it); and
 * marketing preferences.


There may be occasions where we also collect information that you voluntarily
provide to us. For example, if you contact us with queries, complaints, comments
or praise, or information that you post about yourself on public areas of
various social media platforms ("Voluntary Data").

Please note that we do not collect any information in relation to your payment
information, such as credit/debit card details.

We collect data about your use of www.portakabin.com using cookies and similar
technology. This includes your viewing history, IP addresses, device identifiers
and information on the length of time you have stayed on certain pages or what
pages you have clicked on ("Behavioural Data"). You can find more detailed

that may have occurred while you were on our site so that we can create fixes
and make technical improvements to www.portakabin.com.

software and is fully anonymised so we cannot see who has posted the
information. However from time to time we may identify individuals for internal
analysis purposes only.

Our carefully selected partners and service providers may process personal
information about you on our behalf as described below:

Digital Marketing Service Providers

We periodically appoint digital marketing agents to conduct marketing activity
on our behalf, such activity may result in the compliant processing of personal
information.  Our appointed data processors include:

What do we use your data for?

    * fulfil orders placed by you;

    * in order to take the necessary steps in preparation of, or to fulfil our

      contacting you to let you know you have won a prize and using your address
      to send your prize to you. This data is only used for the purposes of the
      relevant competition and will be subject to the terms and conditions of
      that competition, which will be notified to you when you enter the
      competition.

these sites (for example, after liking our brand or its content on LinkedIn, or
having been to our sites and then seeing our display advertising on other
website platforms), or the behaviours of those within your networks (for
example, a contact within your LinkedIn network likes our brand or its content
on LinkedIn, so it appears in your News Feed). These branded messages are
controlled by the third-party site, but you may be able to update your

To protect your information, Portakabin Limited has policies and procedures in

that information is handled and stored in a secure and sensible manner and all
systems that can access the information have the necessary security measures in
place. To accomplish this, all employees, contractors and sub-contractors have
roles and responsibilities defined in those policies and procedures.

To make sure all employees, contractors and sub­contractors understand these
responsibilities they are provided with the necessary training and resources
they need.

In addition to these operational measures, we also use a range of technologies
and security systems to reinforce the policies.

To make sure that these measures are suitable, vulnerability tests are run
regularly. Audits to identify areas of weakness and non-compliance are routinely
scheduled. Additionally, all areas of the organisation are constantly monitored

data, we will be able to continue to do so. Otherwise, we will cease processing

your request, we will confirm whether the data has been deleted or tell you the
reason why it cannot be deleted. If we are required by law to comply with your
request, we will fully anonymise your data it so that it is no longer personal
data and cannot be used to identify you.

Once we have received your request, we will comply where it is feasible to do
