The university will lead a coalition of research and industry organizations with the power to accelerate the development and manufacturing of microelectronics in the United States. California DREAMS has been launched to accelerate the development, prototyping and adoption of advanced RF and supporting technologies for the Electromagnetic Warfare (EW) and 6G/5G applications. With 17 partners, over 50 affiliates, and over 200 of the nation’s top RF researchers and innovators, California DREAMS provides full scope of rapid prototyping of advanced RF systems for DOD and commercial use. Learn more about all our Partners. * The California DREAMS team of RF and microelectronics technology pioneers are global experts and industry leaders that launched - and now propel - the compound semiconductor industry in GaAs, GaN, InP, InSb, InGaAs, HgCdTe, and other compound semiconductors and related technologies. * California DREAMS includes the premier US compound semiconductor and 2.5D/3D advanced packaging fabs. * California DREAMS will train the next generation of students to support DOD’s EW needs. We have designed and will implement an experiential program for undergraduate and graduate microelectronics engineers to double the number of clearable students from 1,000 to 2,000 graduates per year across the US by 2030.
